Republicans demand documents from Nathan Wade, Fani Willis’ ‘lover’ who allegedly charged Fulton County DA $650,000 to investigate Donald Trump despite not being qualified

House Republicans have launched an investigation into the lawyer hired by Georgia DA Fani Willis to go after Donald Trump, who is now accused of having an affair with her.

The Judiciary Committee wrote a letter to attorney Nathan Wade requesting documents related to his work on the Trump indictment in Georgia, noting that he had been paid more than $650,000 — at a rate of $250 an hour — to to work on the investigation and prosecution of Trump. and other federal officials, according to a new lawsuit.

Wade was hired as a “special anti-corruption prosecutor” to investigate Trump’s alleged election interference.

Wade had never tried a felony case before, according to the stunning new filing by Michael Roman, one of the former president’s co-defendants in the “fake election scheme.”

The committee noted that federal funds may have been used to pay Wade, giving them the authority to investigate. It highlighted the “enormous legal fees” that Wade charged the district attorney’s office in one case, on November 5, 2021, for 24 hours of legal work in one day, claiming he spent all day and night working on the prosecution to have worked.

The court document released Monday alleged that Willis and Wade had been in a romantic relationship dating before she hired him on the case.

Although it has not been proven, Willis hiring her boyfriend despite him having little expertise to lead the prosecution and both benefiting financially from the arrangement could prove to be a conflict of interest.

Roman is accused of participating in the “fake voter” scheme and is one of 18 people charged along with Trump in the George case.

The filing stated that Wade was not qualified to serve as a court-appointed attorney in the Trump case because he must have had “at least two criminal trials for similar crimes,” according to a 2022 document from the Fulton County Superior Court .

Earlier this week, DailyMail.com reported that Wade had two meetings at the Biden White House ahead of her prosecution of Trump.

The legal documents also allege that Willis had an “ongoing, personal relationship” with Wade – citing “sources close to both the special counsel and the district attorney” but provide no documentary evidence.

Roman claims that the pair dated before Willis hired Wade, and that they traveled together to Napa Valley, Florida, and even on a Caribbean cruise.

The Judiciary Committee opened an investigation into the Fulton County district attorney in August, examining whether she improperly used federal funds for her state-level prosecution or coordinated with Biden’s Justice Department.
