Republican Sen. Ted Cruz demands Coca-Cola explain why it scrubbed all support for Black Lives Matter from its website – after sparking fury with pro-Hamas posts calling for the ‘end’ of Israel

Senator Ted Cruz is raising eyebrows at the timing of soft drink giant Coca-Cola’s decision to remove all pro-Black Lives Matter content on its website following the activist group’s anti-Israel posts.

Following the massacre of more than 1,400 civilians in Israel by Hamas terrorists, the Chicago chapter of BLM posted an image of a paraglider with “I stand with Palestine” as the caption.

Terrorists on paragliders infiltrated an outdoor music festival on October 7, brutally slaughtering more than 260 innocent concertgoers and taking more than 200 people hostage, including Americans. The BLM chapter received a huge backlash for the post that appeared to praise the killers.

In a recent “Verdict” podcast episode, the Texas senator mentioned Coca-Cola brand Sprite’s $500,000 donation to BLM in June 2020 — which was previously shown on the company’s public website.

He tells DailyMail.com that after the episode’s release, Coca-Cola quietly removed all references to the company’s check to BLM.

“Caught red-handed,” Cruz, R-Texas, wrote on X, comparing the website before and after the removed references to BLM.

Now Cruz is demanding information about the company’s “purpose” by removing the information supporting BLM on his website.

In a letter to Coca-Cola CEO James Quincey, exclusively obtained by DailyMail.com, he says the company’s attempt to “delete evidence” of its BLM donation is “a tacit admission that criticism of Black Lives Matter movement – ​​and Sprite’s support for it – have merit.’

Cruz seeks an explanation as to why the company “supported a far-left group” that has not yet condemned the violent attack on Israel.

“It is important that Congress understands Coca-Cola’s purpose in removing this information from its website,” the senator concluded.

He requests Quincey to provide the requested information before November 14.

BLM’s Chicago chapter attempted to walk back the horrific post a day later in a lukewarm apology and other messages sent criticizing Israel.

‘Yesterday we sent mss (messages) that we are not proud of. We stand with Palestine and the people who will do what they have to do to live free. Our thoughts are with the grieving mothers, with those rescuing babies from the rubble, who are in danger of being completely wiped out.”

BLM Chicago is just one of many BLM chapters across the country, including the entire grassroots organization, that has publicly supported Palestinian fighters over Israel in the days since the attacks began.

BLM co-founder Patrisse Cullors called for the “end” of Israel in a 2015 post.

Since its inception, the Black Lives Matter movement has supported the Palestinian cause, often calling Israel, its people and its governments oppressors.

Coca-Cola has quietly removed all references to the company’s check to BLM

The BLM chapter in Chicago made their position on the recent terror attacks in Israel abundantly clear with a slew of pro-Palestinian images shared across social media – but they removed it and issued a lukewarm apology.

“Palestine is the South Africa of our generation… if we do not stand up boldly and courageously to end the imperialist project called Israel, we are doomed,” she said at the time.

Since its inception, the Black Lives Matter movement has supported the Palestinian cause, often calling Israel, its people and its governments oppressors.
