Republican lawmaker charged with ‘weapons violation’ at DC airport
Republican Rep. Victoria Spartz has been charged with a weapons violation at a Washington, D.C.-area airport
A spokesperson for the Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority confirmed to DailyMail.com that the Indiana Republican was charged with a violation on Friday while traveling through Dulles International Airport.
“Victoria Spartz, 45, of Noblesville, IN, was charged with a weapons violation at Dulles Airport on Friday, June 28,” the spokesperson said.
Dulles Airport is located approximately 30 miles west of Washington DC in Dulles, Virginia.
Under Virginia law, this violation is a misdemeanor.

According to the Transportation Security Administration (TSA), Spartz was caught with a weapon while going through airport security.
On Friday, June 28, TSA agents at [Dulles] “A .380 calibre firearm was discovered during passenger security screening,” a spokesperson for the agency told DailyMail.com.
“The firearm was unloaded and was in the suspect’s hand luggage.”
Spartz’s office did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
The Ukrainian-born lawmaker has represented Indiana’s 5th Congressional District since 2021.
In recent years, she has gained popularity for speaking out against the financing of the war between Ukraine and Russia.
Earlier this month, the lawmaker again caused a stir after former members of her staff called her the worst boss on Capitol Hill.

Former Spartz employees have made fierce claims about her “manic” and “abusive” behavior and that she threw furniture at her co-workers.
The irascible, Ukrainian-born Indiana lawmaker has been dubbed the “worst boss” on Capitol Hill and her behavior is now the subject of an ethics complaint.
Her office is a revolving door of employees who think they are “strong” enough to handle it, but who quickly leave.
According to a source, Spartz had “thrown shoes” at her district staff and had “exploded” in front of her constituents on multiple occasions.
Ethics officials have been in contact with former Spartz employees about the complaint, DailyMail.com has confirmed, but it is not clear what stage their investigation is at. Politico first reported The committee had conducted a ‘preliminary investigation’ into complaints about her conduct.
Normally, the commission notifies a member if he or she is under formal investigation, but Spartz says she has not been notified.
