The Delhi Police has issued an advisory on traffic restrictions in view of the rehearsals of the Republic Day Parade along the Kartavya Path, which stretches from Vijay Chowk to India Gate.
To work with the continuous movement of the parade on Kartavya Path, traffic guidelines will be implemented from 10:15 AM to 12:30 PM on January 17, 18, 20 and 21 at Kartavya Path-Raj Marg Crossing, Kartavya Path-Mansingh Road Crossing, Kartavya Path -Janpath Crossing and Kartavya Path-C-Hexagon.

The Kartavya path from Vijay Chowk to India Gate is also closed for traffic during these hours. Traffic will therefore be diverted and congestion is likely to occur on these streets.
As per the advisory, motorists coming from Vinay Marg, Shanti Path and beyond should take Sardar Patel Marg, Mother Teresa Crescent, RML, Baba Kharak Singh Marg or Park Street, Mandir Marg and proceed to North Delhi or New Delhi.
When traveling from north to south Delhi, your best bet is to use the Ring Street, take advantage of the Sarai Kale Khan Flyover and pass through Rajghat. Another road includes Lajpat Rai Marg, Mathura Road, Bhairon Road and finally connected to Ring Road.

You also have the option to drive along Aurobindo Marg, Safdarjung Road, Kamal Ataturk Marg, Sardar Patel Marg, Mother Teresa Crescent, KM, Subramaniam Bharti Marg, Mathura Road, Baba Kharak Singh Marg, Prithvi Raj Road, Rajesh Pilot Marg, Bhairon travel Road and Ring Road.
Exploring via Baraf Khana, Azad Market, Vande Mataram Marg, Rani Jhansi Flyover, Hanuman Murti and Dhaula Kuan is also a choice.
While taking a journey from the eastern to the western part of the city, motorists have the option to go along the Ring Road, via Bhairon Road, Prithvi Raj Road, Safdarjung Road, Mathura Road, Subramaniam Bharti Marg, Rajesh Pilot Marg, Kamal Ataturk Marg, Panchsheel Marg, Simon Bolivar Marg and Upper Ridge Road/Vande Matram Marg.

Follow Ring Road ISBT, Mall Road, Chandgi Ram Akhara and Azad Pur Ring Road as an additional option. Then consider taking Ring Road, Teen Murti Marg, Aurobindo Marg, Safdarjung Road, Mother Teresa Crescent, Bhairon Road, Mathura Road, Lodhi Road, Park Street, Shankar Road and Vande Matram Marg.
Consider taking Mother Teresa Crescent, Park Street and Mandir Marg/Baba Kharak Singh Marg as you head south towards Connaught Place and Central Secretariat.
Another choice is to explore Ring Road, Link Road, Vande Matram Marg and Panchkuian Road. Additionally, travelers may consider taking Ring Road, Sardar Patel Marg, via 11 Murti, R/A RML, North Avenue, Mother Teresa Crescent or Baba Kharak Singh Marg.
