Removing Congress from Rajasthan necessary to restore law & order: PM Modi

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday claimed that the morale of terrorists and rioters is rising wherever the Congress rules because of its ‘appeasement policy’.

Addressing an election rally in Barmer, he said the upcoming assembly elections are not just for electing MLAs but for the return of law and order in Rajasthan and to protect the culture and traditions of the state by ousting the Congress and BJP back in power.

The Chief Minister said that the people of the state have not been able to celebrate any festival peacefully in the last five years.

“Sometimes there are riots, sometimes stones are thrown and a curfew is imposed. This is the picture of Congress over the past five years. That is why it is essential to get Congress out of here,” he said.

Prime Minister Modi said that under Congress rule, Rajasthan is leading the way in incidents of atrocities against women.

He said that in all the central programs of the last decade, women’s safety and empowerment were given top priority.

“There should be no mistake in seeking the impeachment of Congress,” he said.

“Just think: why does the courage of terrorists and rioters increase where Congress comes to power? The answer is: Congress’ appeasement policy.

“Congress is taking Rajasthan in that direction where the culture and traditions of Rajasthan will be at risk,” PM Modi said at the public meeting at Baytoo in Barmer district.

He further said, “The BJP is necessary in the state to protect the culture of Rajasthan.”

He accused the Congress of indulging in corruption in the Jal Jeevan Mission, which provides piped water in rural areas.

“I send money from Delhi for the Jal Jeevan Mission, but these Congress people usually eat commission there too.

“Congress people are doing their job by making money and practicing corruption even for a noble cause like water,” Modi alleged.
