Police have descended on a NSW school after remains were discovered on the grounds.
NSW Police from the town of Gunnedah, in the state’s northwest, rushed to St Mary’s College just after 9am on Tuesday to reports the remains had been discovered at an excavation site on the school grounds.
The remains were seized by police and forensic tests will be done on them to determine if they are human.
Specialist police officers from Tamworth are also heading to the scene to assist local police with the investigation.
