Relief for England fans! Harry Kane’s newborn son Henry was born at home – and is therefore NOT eligible to play for Germany when he grows up – after a detail was spotted on Instagram

England fans can breathe a sigh of relief after Harry Kane’s newborn son Henry was reportedly born at home and therefore ineligible to play for Germany when he grows up.

The Three Lions skipper, who recently signed for £100 million for German champions Bayern Munich, welcomed Henry Edward Kane into the world on Sunday along with his wife Kate.

There had been speculation that Kate would give birth in Munich, making Henry eligible for German citizenship and playing football for England’s old rivals if the Kane genes had proved strong enough to follow in his father’s footsteps.

However, German newspaper Bild report that Henry was indeed born in England.

Fans who studied Kane’s two Instagram photos had already come to that conclusion. A British electrical outlet was visible in the background of one of the photos, and another had a note with the English words “Baby boy, room 101.”

The England striker, then a Tottenham player, revealed in an Instagram post in March that they were expecting another child.

He shared a Polaroid photo of Kate holding a positive pregnancy test, along with an image of the baby’s ultrasound.

He captioned the post, “Over the moon to be expecting baby No. 4! Available soon…’

The couple also shared a video of their baby’s ultrasound, in which they asked their three children if they think it’s a boy or a girl.

Their eldest daughter Ivy guessed a girl, their second child Vivienne said a boy, while their son Louis guessed a car.

Kane, 30, scored on his Bundesliga debut for Bayern as they beat Werder Bremen 4-0 on Friday night.

Speak against Sky Sports after the match, Kane opened up about his dream debut: “It was fantastic. There’s been a lot of talk and thought about this game. It started well early with the goal. It was heavy.

“We created some good chances, but missed the final product.

“We kept calm, managed to score the second goal and the boys finished it from the bench. It was a perfect start, I’m looking forward to the next game.’
