Relationship expert Louanne Ward (pictured) shared the five ‘telling’ body language signs that suggest Michael Clarke wasn’t telling the truth
A body language expert has listed the ‘telling’ body language cues that suggest Michael Clarke wasn’t telling the truth when he was accused of cheating on his ex Pip Edwards in Noosa.
A now-infamous video shows the former Australia cricket captain facing a barrage of curse-filled insults and abuse from his girlfriend Jade Yarbrough.
Jade accused the cricket legend of sleeping with the PE Nation sportswear mogul on December 17, as well as texting her ex asking her to come to India with him.
relationship expert Louanne neighborhoodof Perth, said several of Michael’s words and actions are indicative that his responses may not have been truthful in the video.
These include his outstretched arms to appear larger, the rising inflection of his voice, and removing his shirt.
The cricketer was sensationally accused of cheating on his current girlfriend, Jade Yarbrough, with her ex, PE Nation designer Pip Edwards, on Wednesday night (video footage shown)
TAKING OFF SHIRT
The first body language sign that Michael wasn’t telling the truth is that he tries to “make himself look bigger” in the footage by taking off his shirt.
“People… often make really big, bold gestures in an attempt to intimidate,” Louanne told FEMAIL.
“Look at the way Michael was walking in that video and you’ll notice that his arms are rounded and open.”
He also highlighted the fact that he took off his shirt, which is the ‘wrestling response’.
Louanne (pictured) highlighted some of the signs that Michael Clarke might not be telling the truth, including the enlargement of his body and increased inflections in his voice.
ASCENDING INFLECTIONS
The second ‘make-or-break’ sign Louanne noticed was the ‘rising inflections’ in Michael’s voice as he pleaded with his girlfriend Jade.
“When someone isn’t telling the truth, their voice goes up a little at the end of a word,” Louanne said.
“You’ll notice that you can definitely hear the inflections in Michael’s voice when he’s talking to Jade.”
In a video of the furious exchange between Michael Clarke, Karl Stefanovic and their partners, Jade accuses Michael of sleeping with Pip Edwards on December 17, texting her that she is the “love of his life” and inviting her to India with him. he.
The video opens with Jade yelling at Michael before slapping and shoving him after the cricket legend claimed he hadn’t cheated on her.
‘I’m wrong? I’m fucking wrong! You are a fucking liar. Ican see everything. You called her,’ Jade yells, apparently referring to the messages between Michael and Pip.
DIVERT IT BACK TO HER
Louanne said it’s “interesting” that Michael decided to “steer” it back to Jade, when he said “you’re wrong” in the clip.
“He is not taking any responsibility,” he said.
‘He could have said ‘I’ instead of ‘you’, but he decided against it. That could be indicative of guilt.
Louanne said it’s ‘interesting’ that Michael decided to ‘steer’ it towards Jade, when he said ‘You’re wrong’ in the clip (the couple depicted in happier times)
DRAWING FEET
One of the more subtle signs that Michael might not be telling the truth, Louanne said, is that he “kept shuffling while standing with Jade.”
“His feet were dancing when you look at him carefully,” she said.
“What happens when you are accused of something is that the limbic brain, which controls our behavioral and emotional responses, kicks in and freezes the bodily responses.
“So when you can’t keep your feet still, that could seem like a sign that something isn’t quite right.”
INVASION OF PERSONAL SPACE
Finally, Louanne said that invading someone’s personal space, particularly when they’re trying to leave, is not a good sign.
“Clearly Michael got slapped and that’s a major invasion of personal space,” he said.
‘But when someone tries to get away from the situation like Jade left, and you go and follow them and return to their space.’
Louanne said it’s impossible to say that “someone is categorically not telling the truth with their body language alone.”
But you can look for ‘clusters’ in their behavior, or three or more things that mean something is up.
“If they have three different things, then you can certainly say that if they’re not being dishonest, then there’s something that makes them exceptionally uncomfortable,” he said.
“It’s important to look at all aspects of their behavior.”
Michael and Pip appear together in happier times during their whirlwind romance. They separated permanently in December 2021
Michael Clarke, repentant, has taken full responsibility for what happened.
I am absolutely heartbroken, I have put people I hold in the highest regard in this position. My actions in the lead up to this altercation were nothing short of shameful and regrettable,’ he told the daily telegraph Wednesday night.
“I am devastated that by my actions I have brought women of class and integrity, and my peers, into this situation.”
Meanwhile, Pip Edwards has taken a wild swing at her ex-boyfriend Michael Clarke.
She had none of the drama when she returned to her Bondi home on Wednesday night after attending Elton John’s Farewell Yellow Brick Road concert at Allianz Stadium in Moore Park.
‘This is not my circus. Once again, Michael in the true nature of him has not taken responsibility for his actions and I was blatantly lied to,” he told Daily Mail Australia.

A source close to the couple confirmed the split, saying: “The decision was mutual. They are two best friends who decided to part ways as a couple earlier this month but are continuing their friendship.
After their breakup, Pip had an affair with Bondi restaurateur Cameron Northway for about four months, but that fell through and she got back together with Michael.
Michael and Pip had recently attended an exclusive, top-notch New Years party at the iconic Sydney Icebergs.
The former Australian Test cricket captain was married to former model Kyly Clarke (née Boldy), 40, from 2012 to 2019, but the couple only announced their split in February 2020.
