‘It’s magical, honestly’: Reims manager Will Still pays tribute to his team after Folarin Balogun’s latest goal, on loan from Arsenal, earned him a point for leaders PSG… with the Ligue 1 side still unbeaten since Englishman took over

Reims manager Will Still has paid tribute to his team following Sunday’s 1-1 draw with league leaders Paris Saint-Germain.

Folarin Balogun, on loan from Arsenal, scored in the sixth minute of stoppage time to give Reims a point at the Parc des Princes after Neymar’s strike looked set to give the hosts all three points.

England’s Still, 30, described the draw as “magical” as he continued his unbeaten start with the Ligue 1 outfit.

He said: ‘It’s magical, honestly. That’s why we do this job. Equalizing in the 96th minute in the Parque de los Príncipes, in front of so many of your fans, is magical.

‘It’s impossible to choose (between the point won or the performance), the content was very, very good, especially in the first half, it’s good to get a point in the Park. We show a beautiful image of Reims.

‘We showed that Reims wanted to play, press and be an entrepreneur. We continue with good momentum.’

On the performance of Balogun, who scored his eleventh goal of the season, Still added: ‘He is a super complete striker, he knows how to play from behind, deep. He is technically very clean. He scores, he is decisive.’

Still took over as caretaker manager at the Ligue 1 club following the sacking of former Watford and Brighton boss Oscar Garcia in October.

He has had a somewhat fascinating career, having never played professionally, but coached in England, France and his native Belgium.

He still coached in the youth system at Preston North End, while also holding assistant roles with Belgian teams Lierse, Standard Liege and Beerschot; he enjoyed a brief stint in charge of the latter team.

He has overseen an impressive start, going unbeaten in his 10 league games in charge so far, as Reims have moved up to 11th in Ligue 1.
