Rehan Ahmed has become England’s first male teenager in T20 cricket after being included in their line-up for the penultimate match of the series against Bangladesh in Dhaka.
Ahmed has already made history as England’s youngest men’s Test and ODI cricketer this winter and the 18-year-old will make his first T20 appearance as the tourists try to level the three-match series.
The leg-spinning all-rounder replaces fast bowler Mark Wood in England’s only change to the side that lost the opener by six wickets at Chattogram.
Captain Jos Buttler, who was carded on the first pitch by Phil Salt and Dawid Malan, lost the toss for the eighth time in a row this year, with Bangladesh opting to field first.
The hosts also made a change when outfielder Mehidy Hasan Miraz replaced the all-rounder Shamim Hossain.
