Refurbished Steam Deck OLEDs are currently available from Valve

Valve started selling refurbished models of its Steam Deck OLED handheld last month, but quickly ran out of stock. If you missed your chance to save over $100 on a Steam Deck OLED, refurbished models of Valve’s handheld are currently back in stock, but only while supplies last. The refurbished 1TB model of the Steam Deck OLED is available for $519 ($130 less than a new model), while the overhauled 512 GB model retails for $439 ($100 less than new). This is an easy way to save on the sticker price of the Steam Deck OLED, but only if you act quickly. Supplies of remanufactured models are limited, and there’s really no telling when more will become available, as each remanufactured model undergoes the same testing and inspection process as new ones.

The Steam Deck OLED represents a substantial upgrade over the original LCD model. In addition to a modest improvement to the processor, the OLED also features a larger battery and a slightly larger OLED display that is not only more energy efficient but also capable of a 90 Hz refresh rate.

Although we don’t think we’ve ever inspected a reconditioned Steam Deck firsthand Frequently Asked Questions about Valvethere is no functional difference between a refurbished device and a brand new model.
