Boston College quarterback Thomas Castellanos had a moment to forget in Saturday’s game against Army, when he was flagged down by referee Mark Wilson.

Eagles star Castellanos broke into space and went to rush upfield, but when he looked over his shoulder as he broke into the open field, he accidentally ran right into Wilson.

The official scrambled to try to get out of the way of the quarterback and even appeared to drop his shoulder slightly and brace for impact when he saw he wasn’t going to get out of the way in time.

Castellanos, who is five-foot-10 and 195 pounds, was sent back to the turf.

Wilson, in turn, walked straight to the player to make sure he was OK, but also appeared to be hiding a wry smile, judging by the television replay.

Another wrote: ‘Ref in the Army BC game is built like a brick wall!’.

Another fan joked: ‘The ref might be the best linebacker in this game’ with a crying with laughter emoji.
