Reese Witherspoon recites a line from her 2000 appearance on Friends while promoting a new rom-com

Reese Witherspoon recited one of her lines from when she appeared on Friends in 2000 while promoting her latest movie Tuesday on Late Night With Seth Meyers.

Seth, 49, reminded the 46-year-old actress that he previously worked with his The Morning Show co-star Jennifer Aniston, 53, when she played his younger sister on Friends.

“Yeah, and the funny story was that I started dating Ross because she and Ross were on a break,” Reese said, referring to Jennifer and Ross Geller’s Rachel Green character, played by David Schwimmer.

‘Yeah. I remember hearing that at some point,’ Seth joked.

‘And she gets really jealous and says, ‘You can’t date Ross.’ And I was like, ‘Can’t I? The only thing I can’t eat is dairy.” I mean I still remember the phrase,’ Reese said.

“You’re still out of the book,” Seth quipped.

“His writing was so good on that show, so it’s really memorable. I have all kinds of funny and famous quotes from Friends that are stuck in my head. Isn’t that right?’ said Reese, who played Jill Green for two episodes in 2000.

Seth asked Reese if she remembered what it felt like to walk on the set of Friends because at the time she was already a freak.

‘Oh my gosh, yeah, so I was terrified. My body was there, and my head and brain were somewhere else. I just had a baby,” Reese said.

“That’s how I know it was 23 years ago, because now my baby is 23,” Reese said of her daughter Ava.

Reese gushed about walking into the Central Perk coffee shop and sitting on the couch.

Oh my gosh, there’s Joey. Oh my gosh, and then he waits. Joey said to me, “How are you?” Reese said impersonating Joey Tribbiani played by Matt LeBlanc.

“He didn’t tell everyone that,” Seth quipped.

“I was terrified, but Aniston was so sweet to me, she said, ‘They don’t care if you’re wrong. In fact, they like it better when you’re wrong,” Reese shared.

“Oh, that’s a really nice thing to hear,” Seth said.

Reese was on the NBC talk show to promote her upcoming Netflix rom-com Your Place Or Mine, which also stars 45-year-old Ashton Kutcher.

Your Place Or Mine follows Debbie, played by Reese, who swaps lives with her best friend Peter, played by Ashton. Debbie during her week in New York City falls for Theo [Jesse Williams] and gets caught in a love triangle after Peter realizes he’s always had feelings for her.

The official tagline for the film read: ‘She longs for the grind with her son in Los Angeles; he thrives on change in New York. When they swap houses and lives for a week, they discover that what they want might not be what they really need.’

The film also features 13-year-old Wesley Kimmel, the nephew of 55-year-old talk show host Jimmy Kimmel.

The film is the first Netflix movie for Reese, who is also a producer.

Your Place Or Mine was written and directed by Aline Brosh McKenna, 55, who makes her directorial debut with the film.

Zoë Chao, Tig Notaro, and Steve Zahn also have starring roles in the film.

Your Place Or Mine is scheduled to be released on Netflix on Friday.
