Reese Witherspoon officially files for divorce from estranged husband Jim Toth

Reese Witherspoon has now officially filed for divorce from ex-husband Jim Toth, a week after announcing the end of their marriage.

The Legally Blonde star, 47, cited irreconcilable differences as the reason behind their split in court documents obtained by TMZ.

The documents were filed in Nashville, Tennessee, where the couple lives with their 10-year-old son, Tennessee.

The documents reveal that the couple reached a prenuptial agreement in March 2011. Reese indicated that the contract was valid and “provided” adequate and sufficient provisions “for their assets and debts,” reports TMZ.

Reese said she will submit her prenuptial agreement and permanent parenting plan for Tennessee for the judge’s approval.

According to Reese’s solemn divorce announcement shared last week, the couple decided to go their separate ways with “great care and consideration.”

Witherspoon not only recently starred in movies like Your Place Or Mine with Ashton Kutcher, but also worked on Jennifer Garner’s series The Last Thing He Told Me, which is a thriller set in Sausalito, California.
