Reese Witherspoon and Nicole Kidman join David Beckham in the stands at Leagues Cup final

Hollywood star and Nashville SC co-owner Reese Witherspoon had the honor of carrying the game ball onto the field ahead of Saturday night’s Leagues Cup Final.

The actress, who took ownership of the football club in 2022, was present at the Geodis Park stadium as her team competed with football legend David Beckham’s Inter Miami.

The blonde beauty wore bright yellow and black trainers in a nod to her team’s colors as she carried the football onto the pitch.

Before kick-off, she shared a moment of good sportsmanship as she posed with rival owner Beckham.

While Beckham told Apple TV that he and co-owner Jorge Mas had made sure the entire Inter Miami staff was there for the final, Witherspoon brought the star power.

The Hollywood star later posed with girlfriend and fellow actress Nicole Kidman in the stands

She shared a photo on Instagram of herself and friend Nicole Kidman posing for a selfie in the stands.

However, she would not have beamed at half-time as Nashville trailed 1-0 after Lionel Messi’s sensational opener for Inter Miami.

The Nashville native joined the ownership group in April 2022, along with media and technology investor Jim Toth and Tennessee Titans All-Pro running back Derrick Henry.

The trio came aboard just five days before the Nashville Soccer Club opened its new home of Geodis Park, where the final was played on Saturday.

Before the game, Beckham had joined Witherspoon’s Nashville co-owner, NBA star Giannis Antetokounmpo, on the field.

Antetokounmpo had some fun at Messi’s expense ahead of the Leagues Cup final by mimicking the Inter Miami star’s biggest rival, Cristiano Ronaldo.

The six-foot-tall Antetokounmpo was hard to miss on the field before the championship game, doing television interviews and scoring a free-kick from about 30 yards out.

To celebrate his impromptu goal, Antetokounmpo did the pirouetting ‘SIU’ celebration popularized by Ronaldo. Cameras didn’t seem to capture Messi’s reaction, but Antetokounmpo’s brother and teammate, Thanasis, laughed.

The Antetokounmpo brothers, the sons of a former Nigerian Football Federation footballer, were born in Athens and grew up in Greece when the country’s national team won the 2004 European Cup. In fact, Giannis’ eldest brother, Francis, has been a professional football player, while another brother Kostas plays basketball for Fenerbahçe in Istanbul – the same sports club that has won 28 Turkish football titles.

But despite his family’s penchant for football, Giannis hadn’t attended a Nashville SC game until Saturday, when Messi and Inter Miami came to town to play for the Leagues Cup title.
