Reese Witherspoon and Jim Toth announce divorce! Actress calls it ‘difficult decision’

Reese Witherspoon and her husband Jim Toth are divorcing after nearly 12 years of marriage.

The 47-year-old movie star shared the news via her Instagram on Friday afternoon, days before their 12th wedding anniversary.

“We have some personal news to share… It is with great care and consideration that we have made the difficult decision to divorce,” the mother of three wrote.

“We have enjoyed so many wonderful years together and we are moving forward with deep love, kindness and mutual respect for all that we have created together.”

“Our highest priority is our son and our entire family as we navigate this next chapter. These matters are never easy and are extremely personal.

“We really appreciate everyone’s respect for our family’s privacy like this time: Reese and Jim.” she concluded.
