As the year comes to a close, we don’t just have the holidays and Black Friday deals to be excited about. No, we can also reminisce about how we spent 2024 with the help of Spotify Wrapped, YouTube Recap, and Reddit Recap.
The latest of these has just been released, so you can see how many banana lengths you scrolled while browsing Reddit while it wasn’t offline (I apparently scrolled through 90,567) and see the posts and communities you’ve interacted with the most. At the very end you even get a little Reddit persona card describing your experience in 2024 – my visits to the Marvel Snap, Balatro, and Magic The Gathering subreddits got me dubbed a “Game Knight.”
You can also find the stats of the communities you follow, so you can look back at the posts and comments that attracted the most attention from members of the subreddit.
Of all the year-end recaps, Reddit’s is one of my favorites thanks to this huge community aspect.
Whether it’s looking back on one of the biggest posts of the year in my community – like reliving the news of MatPat’s retirement in r/GameTheorists – or seeing the biggest stories from a subreddit I frequent but where I’m not a member – like Moo Deng’s appreciation post on r/MadeMeSmile – I like finding the flavor of 2024 for my niche on the internet.
How to Find Your Reddit Summary
Accessing your summary is easy. Simply open the Reddit app and tap the pixelated banana icon next to your profile photo. This will take you to the Reddit Recap page.
At the top of this menu is your own personalized summary, while community summaries for the groups you’re a part of (and others that are popular) appear below. To view any of these, just tap it, and when you’re ready to view another summary, tap the X icon in the left corner, or tap it on the main summary page to return return to Reddit proper.
