Reddit has been hit by an outage that is affecting thousands of users in the US. Issues, which began around 10am ET, are affecting the app and website

DownDetectorA site that monitors online outages said the problems started just before 10 a.m., but that a huge spike was seen about 30 minutes later.

The website’s Live Outage Map shows New York, Seattle and Los Angeles in “red,” with other major cities also experiencing issues.

About 66 percent of the issues reported to DownDetector mentioned the app, 29 percent mentioned the website, and just under six percent reported server connection issues.

Redditors are venting their frustrations on X, reporting that they are seeing a blank screen in the app.
