As the glamour of red-carpet appearances can take its toll… Why stars are having Botox – in their FEET!
For a celebrity, all those high-heeled red carpet appearances can take a toll on your feet.
Now it seems that many people are finding the solution to their problems in a treatment normally reserved for the face: Botox.
The procedure, also known as a “stiletto lift” or a “Loub job,” after Christian Louboutin’s shoes, involves injecting botulinum toxin and a filler into the arch and ball of the foot.
It is said to provide relief from the pain caused by designer shoes. Nicole Kidman is one of those who has tried it.

Celebrities are using Botox to relieve foot pain and ‘kiss’ their feet with high heels
Botox is commonly prescribed as a medical treatment to stop excessive sweating of the hands, feet and armpits.
Plastic surgeon Aenone Harper-Machin, who runs a private clinic in Chester, says stopping sweating can improve stability and reduce friction.
Botox may also relieve symptoms of plantar fasciitis, the most common cause of foot pain in women between the ages of 40 and 60.
The fillers act as a kind of cushion and absorb pressure.
But Ms Harper-Machin, a spokesperson for the British Association of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgeons, warned: ‘People are at risk of infection or a blockage in an artery if their doctor gets it wrong, and they could even lose a toe.’

The procedure costs between £1,500 and £2,000 and the effects last for approximately four months.
Lisa Kay, CEO of footwear brand Sole Bliss, said: ‘We know that many celebrities are now using Botox to protect their feet.
“But comfortable heels do exist. Stars like Julia Roberts, Helen Mirren and Meryl Streep wear our shoes for red carpet events to keep their feet comfortable, even in five-inch heels.”
