Rebel bikies have said goodbye to Shane Smith – the ex-lover of Married at First Sight star Stacey Hampton – by forming a guard of honor with a convoy of Harley Davidson’s adorned with custom flags featuring his face.

Smith, 38, crashed into Redwood Park, northeast Adelaide, at about 3 a.m. on Sept. 7, and died at the scene, despite paramedics’ desperate efforts to save his life.

He had four children, including two boys with Mrs. Hampton before their split in July 2017.

The rift came a month before he was convicted of beating up two nightclub bouncers and a 16-week-old boy with his girlfriend, Donna Baldino.

The cycling president’s eldest daughter, Aliza Smith, joined Ms Baldino on Monday in front of hundreds of loved ones at his funeral service in Adelaide.

As she choked her tears, Mrs. Baldino said, “I never thought I’d be standing here today saying goodbye to you.”

‘I’ll see you inside’ [our son] every day and I am so grateful to have that special piece of you to keep me strong forever.”

In a written tribute, she said ‘my king is gone, but all our memories will remain forever’.

Aliza broke down when she said, “I will always love you with all my heart. Not a day goes by that I don’t miss you.”

His parents, Brett and Berta, remembered him as someone who “had good and bad in him, like all people,” while the leaders of the Rebels Motorcycle Club said he was a “rebel who truly represented the meaning of Outlaw Elite.” .

Rebels International president, Alex Vella, also delivered a video tribute during the service.

“On behalf of rebels worldwide… (Shane was) born to be a rebel and be free,” he said.

“He joined the Adelaide Rebels 17 years ago and in Adelaide he kept the Rebels on the road.”

After the service, loved ones emerged from the chapel as Smith’s metallic blue RFFR – “Rebels Forever, Forever Rebels” – was taken to the funeral in a hearse.

The procession was so large that the police closed Grange Road, a busy street in north Adelaide, and some members of the rebels set off on bicycles with large flags decorated with Smith’s face.

Along with hundreds of gang members in rebel jackets, Mrs. Hampton attended the funeral with her two sons, Kruz and Kosta, all dressed in black.

She posted a photo of the three together before the service, captioned “proudest mother.”

She also posted an image of his grave decorated with Confederate flags – the controversial symbol of the bicycle gang.

Smith had Mrs. Hampton’s name tattooed on his hand, along with Kosta’s name and birthday – January 25, 2016.

In an earlier magazine interview, Ms. Hampton – who is 11 years younger than Smith – said they would “always be each other’s kryptonite.”

“Shane and I met very young, I fell hard and fast and we will always be each other’s kryptonite,” she said.

“He was always very supportive and I had terrible postpartum depression.

“He took the kids when I wasn’t able to get them. I had to fix myself and I was alone. He was great to me.’
