Rebel Wilson has received backlash from moms on social media after footage surfaced of her partying just weeks after welcoming her first child via surrogate.

The Australian actress, 42, shared photos and videos of herself on the dance floor with her friend Ramona Agruma and celebrities including Paris Hilton.

The Santa Monica event was to celebrate the launch of Hilton’s virtual empire “Paris World,” and took place five days after Wilson announced the birth of her child, reports 7News.

Wilson and Agruma also reportedly attended Leonardo DiCaprio’s 48th birthday party around this time, according to several outlets.

The 42-year-old, who has long been open about her child’s wish, had announced the birth of her ‘miraculous’ daughter Royce Lillian on November 8. ‘superb surrogate’.

‘Total sliving last night! Congratulations, Paris Hilton,” Wilson captioned her Instagram post. ‘Sliving’ is a slang term that means glamorously successful, self-empowered and fulfilled.

Many of her followers flocked to the comments section to criticize the Pitch Perfect star for partying so soon after welcoming the newborn daughter she’d been “longing for.”

“I certainly wouldn’t have left my baby to party the week she was born!” Whether I had given birth to her myself or not doesn’t matter!’ said one critic.

However, many fans in the comment section jumped to Wilson’s defense, arguing that “moms should have time for themselves too.”

‘Can’t mothers let their hair down? Shouldn’t mothers take a break for themselves, their own souls? None of us have any idea what’s going on in Rebel’s life, so don’t think for a second that you have any right to judge,” one said.
