Rebel Wilson says she DIDN’T use Ozempic to lose 36 kilos during ‘year of health’ but ‘experimented’ with the drug to maintain her weight loss after welcoming baby daughter

Rebel Wilson admitted she took Type 2 diabetes drug Ozempic to lose weight, but insists this only happened after she did it herself.

The Australian actress lost 36 kilos during her ‘year of health’ in 2020, but says she did it without the help of the trendy medication.

The 44-year-old said she briefly “experimented” with it to maintain her weight loss after welcoming her daughter via surrogate in November 2022.

“I wish I would have known in 2020. If I had known, I would have tried 100 percent,” she said The diary of a CEO podcast with Steven Bartlett this week.

‘(It was) more, because when I lost 35 kilos, I thought: I can’t continue training and have this level of focus. And I was very afraid that the weight would gain again,” she added.

Rebel says she no longer uses the injectable semaglutide, but would consider trying it again because it helped her cravings and curbed her stress eating.

“Now I’ve gained another 20 pounds, I think because I had a baby, and I just can’t train at the level I used to,” she said.

“And so I tried it for a few months for weight management, you might call it.

“I had an unlimited ability to eat sweets and chocolates and ice cream and stuff and that drug made me feel full, whereas before I didn’t feel that way. I could eat a ton,” she explained.
