For many years, Rebel Wilson was looking for a man.
But when the actress kissed her co-star Charlotte Gainsbourg in her movie The Almond And The Seahorse, it opened her mind.
“I had never kissed a woman before,” Wilson explained. Maria Shriver on NBC News Today. “Somehow it led me to this kind of discovery, which led me to my amazing partner Ramona. I might not have been open to it if I hadn’t done the emotional work.’

In June, Wilson announced that he had begun an affair with Ramona.
“I thought I was looking for a Disney Prince… but maybe what I really needed all this time was a Disney Princess,” she captioned an Instagram post at the time.
Then months later, Wilson announced the birth of their daughter Royce Lillianborn via surrogate.
Last week, Rebel said something similar to the hollywood reporter.
“I had never kissed a woman before, so I was thinking, ‘Oh, gosh, how is that going to go?'” she told Human Resources.

Rebel added that kissing a woman for the film ultimately led to her kissing a woman in her personal life.
“I had kind of a situation with a woman before, not a sexual relationship and we hadn’t kissed or anything,” he explained. But then there was the kiss with Charlotte. I didn’t think it was that important or anything.
“So weirdly kissing her in my professional life I was like, well maybe I should do that for real in my personal life and see how it goes, which I did,” she laughed.

He went on, saying that if the on-screen kiss had never happened, he may have never “met” his now-girlfriend Agruma.
‘Having those experiences opened my heart as a possibility. I am grateful for those two experiences,” she said.
‘It changed my love life completely. It’s something amazing.
The Almond and the Seahorse was filmed in 2021, while Rebel noted that he had met Ramona at the end of the year.
It’s Rebel’s first dramatic role, playing an archaeologist dealing with her husband’s traumatic brain injury that leads her to start having an affair.

The film opens on December 16 and will be available to watch on Apple TV and Prime Video.
In her new Today interview, the actress spoke with Shriver about how motherhood has made her happier.
“You take the baby and you cut the umbilical cord and literally from that moment on, you’re like… it was just amazing and very emotional,” she recalled.
And she is still adjusting.
‘It’s really challenging. I have this great international career and, you know, I’m like the breadwinner for my family, I like to think,” she explained. “So it’s also really challenging, like, ‘Well now how do I do all the things and be a great mom and a great couple and all that?’
