Rebel Rising, which hits bookstores in April, promises an intimate exploration of Wilson that goes beyond her public persona.

In October, the veteran artist revealed on social media that she had written a memoir and said it would be so shows a never-before-seen side of her.

“This book is like telling my deepest, darkest secrets to a friend, with some laughter of course,” she said.

“So when it comes out, 'my friend' becomes YOU.”

Publisher Harper Collins also offered a sneak peek of the front cover, which features a glamorous rebel wearing a revealing red sequined dress.

The book, due to hit shelves in April 2024, will reveal the “messy reality” of the funny woman's rise from dog groomer to Hollywood star.

It will also document her struggle with her self-confidence and 'constantly wondering “Am I good enough?”, “Will I ever find love?” and “Will I ever change and become healthy?”

“Rebel writes for the first time about her most personal and important moments in her life – from fertility issues, weight gain and loss, sexuality, overcoming shyness, rejection and much more,” the book's description reads.

Wilson told it People that she “underestimates how much work it actually is” to write a memoir.

“I think the first few chapters were really bad,” she said. “Then the editor said, 'This just doesn't sound like you.' So what I started doing was I just sat there by myself, like I was telling the story to a friend.”
