The Australian actor, 43, made the announcement Thursday, saying the book will reveal her “deepest, darkest secrets.”
“This book is like telling my deepest, darkest secrets to a friend, with some laughter of course,” she said.

The book, due to hit shelves in April 2024, will reveal the “messy reality” of the funny woman’s rise from dog groomer to Hollywood star.
It will also document her struggles with her self-confidence and ‘constantly wondering “Am I good enough?”, “Will I ever find love?” and “Will I ever change and become healthy?”
“Rebel writes for the first time about her most personal and important moments in her life – from fertility issues, weight gain and loss, sexuality, overcoming shyness, rejection and much more,” the book’s description reads.

Wilson’s publisher at HarperCollins Australia, Georgia Frances King, who secured the book deal through a nine-way auction, said Rebel’s unapologetic way of life is an inspiration to modern women.
“She is very smart, confident, hilarious – all qualities that best represent our country women on the international stage. Beyond the laughs, I hope this book will motivate readers to reach their potential,” said King.
Rebel, who is currently home in Australia filming her directorial debut The Deb, talks People that she “underestimates how much work it actually is” to write a memoir.
“I think the first few chapters were really bad,” she said. “Then the editor said, ‘This just doesn’t sound like you.’ So what I started doing was I just sat there by myself, like I was telling the story to a friend.”
While admitting that the memoir’s frankness could be embarrassing, Wilson said, “If I do it, I do it full-on.”
