Rebel Wilson and Oprah Winfrey show off their slimmed-down figures as they pose together at Weight Watchers event amid Ozempic controversy

Rebel Wilson posed side by side with her ‘hero’ Oprah Winfrey at a Weight Watchers event this week.

The Australian actress and the talk show queen attended the taping of Making The Shift: A New Way to Think About Weight, a TV special hosted by Oprah and in which Rebel was a special guest.

In a post on Rebel’s Instagram, the two women, who have each lost significant weight recently, showed off their slim physiques.

Rebel stunned in a fitted maxi dress that emphasized her figure and featured a rainbow embellishment.

Oprah, meanwhile, looked chic in a form-fitting pink top paired with candy-colored pants.

‘When you meet your absolute hero… and she loves your book!’ Rebel wrote in her caption, referencing her recently released controversial memoir Rebel Rising.

Both Rebel and Oprah have been criticized in recent months for their use of weight-loss drugs.

In An Oprah Special: Shame, Blame and the Weight Loss Revolution, the 70-year-old fought back tears as she revealed how the medication had meant she was no longer “constantly thinking about what the next meal was going to be.”

Oprah said ‘for 25 years making fun of my weight was a national sport’ and that over the years she had ‘lost some weight’ and ‘gained some back’, but since she started taking medication she had stopped taking to be ‘obsessed’ with food.

Along with online messages of support, some viewers have criticized Oprah, accusing her of “promoting big pharmaceutical companies and pushing Ozempic” and criticizing her for taking the drugs after nine years of promoting Weight Watchers.

Oprah has visibly lost weight in recent months: she has lost more than 18 kilos with the help of a slimming medication.

Rumors that she was taking Ozempic began circulating last year, until she admitted that she had started taking an undisclosed weight-loss drug in December.

Likewise, Rebel admitted that she has been “experimenting” with the drug.

Rebel admitted this month that she used the type 2 diabetes drug Ozempic to lose weight, but insists this only happened after she did it herself.

The Australian actress lost 36 kilos during her ‘year of health’ in 2020, but says she did it without the help of the trendy medication.

The 44-year-old said she briefly “experimented” with it to maintain her weight loss after welcoming her daughter via surrogate in November 2022.

“I wish I would have known in 2020. If I had known, I would have tried 100 percent,” she said The diary of a CEO podcast with Steven Bartlett.

‘(It was) more, because when I lost 35 kilos, I thought: I can’t continue training and have this level of focus. And I was very afraid that the weight would gain again,” she added.
