Rebekah Vardy is being taken on a luxury week-long holiday in Dubai by husband Jamie to ‘escape’ the I’m A Celeb launch on Sunday night.

The 42-year-old WAG will fly to the Emirates on Wednesday as she flees Britain ahead of rival Coleen Rooney’s debut in the ITV series.

MailOnline understands the outing has been carefully timed as Becky and Jamie, 37, are keen to miss coverage of the opening show of I’m A Celeb, where they fear being the butt of Ant & Dec’s jokes.

And the couple takes the break alone, while the children probably stay behind.

A source revealed that Becky is worried the Wagatha Christie saga will be brought back into public attention due to Coleen’s time in the jungle and wants to be as far away from her TV as possible.

On Monday, Coleen was confirmed as one of 12 campmates to enter the Australian jungle in this series – six years after Becky starred in the show.

An insider told MailOnline: ‘Jamie is taking Becky to Dubai for a week during the launch of I’m A Celeb.

‘The last thing she wants to do is turn on her TV to see Coleen, and the prospect of Ant & Dec downplaying their painful trial fills her with dread.’

Coleen has reportedly been paid £1.5million to star in this year’s I’m A Celeb, alongside former Strictly pro dancer Oti Mabuse, 34, McFly singer Danny Jones, 38, influencer GK Barry, 25, and Loose Woman Jane Moore , 62, who landed in Australia on Tuesday.

She finally agreed to sign up after years of being approached by bosses, given her 16-year marriage to Plymouth. Argyle manager Wayne is in a strong position and their four children Kai, 14, Klay, 11, Kit, eight, and Cass, six. are older.

The mother-of-four has paid tribute to her family by flying to Brisbane on Monday wearing a gold chain with her son’s names on it as she prepares to be without them for the next month.

Wearing £1,060 silk pajamas from designer brand Toteme, Coleen flew First Class via Emirates before taking to Instagram to share a pre-recorded video showing two white boards full of plans she had organized in advance for her children.

She said: ‘I can confirm that I’m going into the jungle… you know what they’ve been asking me for so many years and I’ve always said no or put it off because the kids are young and I’ve had a lot going on… but this year I thought me: you know what? I really enjoy doing it.

‘I would like to experience something different, do something for myself, meet new people, I am looking forward to doing the tests.

‘Don’t get me wrong, I’m very scared of leaving the kids behind, and that’s the most important thing. I’ve thought about that for weeks and months, but I’ve come to terms with it.

‘I’ve got everything planned and prepared, I’ve got an army of people, family and friends, school friends, all helping with the kids and they’ll probably have a great time while I’m away.’

Coleen’s appearance on the show comes after she won a defamation lawsuit against Becky, who she accused of leaking stories about her in 2019.

But she said her campmates might become annoyed by her loud snoring after husband Wayne pointed out the annoying habit.

She said: ‘I didn’t think I snored, but Wayne says I snore. But not all the time, but every now and then.’

Coleen’s appearance on the show comes after she won a defamation lawsuit against Becky, who she accused of leaking stories about her in 2019.
