Rebekah Vardy films tell-all documentary on Wagatha Christie court case against Coleen Rooney

Revenge is certainly a dish that can be served cold as far as Coleen Rooney is concerned: I can reveal that the megabucks tell-all she signed up to film after the Wagatha Christie trial won’t be out until next fall.

Sources involved with the as-yet-untitled show say the scheduled date has been pushed back from next summer to around September 2023.

Disney, which broadcasts it, is betting that allowing some time to pass will make the show appear fresher and more exciting to the audience.

In the meantime, I can also reveal that Becky Vardy has filmed an interview of his own, with a Discovery documentary about the trial, Rebekah vs Coleen, due out in late October or early November. Ms Vardy strongly denies any wrongdoing, but in a scathing Supreme Court ruling in July she was described as an “unreliable witness” who was likely to have purposely destroyed potentially crucial evidence.

Ms Justice Steyn concluded that Vardy was likely working with her agent, Caroline Watt, to leak stories from Rooney’s private Instagram account to The Sun, giving gossip journalists tips and helping them with their questions. The judge said it is not credible that Watt accidentally dropped her mobile phone in the North Sea shortly after a legal request was made to search her WhatsApp messages.

Last week Ms Vardy was ordered to pay 90 per cent of Ms Rooney’s legal costs, which could be around £1.5 million.

Nathalie is a knockout as boxer Benn’s wife

The story of the 1990 Benn/Eubank boxing match has an enduring fascination – just look at the feud over the fight between their sons, Conor Benn and Chris Eubank Jr, which was supposed to take place last week. It was postponed after Conor Benn failed a random drug test.

Now the original story is coming to the big screen with a movie titled Benn/Eubank and directed by lead actor David Harewood. Shooting is slated to begin in the UK later this year.

British actress Nathalie Emmanuel, whose career has taken her from Hollyoaks to Game Of Thrones and the Fast And Furious films, plays Nigel Benn’s wife, Sharon.

Emmanuel, 33, was working in a clothing store when she was called to play Daenerys Targaryen’s translator Missandei in GoT.

Sharon’s husband, Nigel, is played by Joshua Maynard, who recently completed the spaghetti western TV series That Dirty Black Bag. Chris Eubank is played by David Jonsson, who plays Gus in the BBC banking drama Industry. Harewood notes, “Their stories require that they be told in full, and while they cannot be fully known without each other, they are also much more than each other. This is my story too: As a young man I suffered from psychosis, and there were elements that still affect young black men today.

“I hope it will be an exciting, moving and educational experience for audiences around the world as we explore brotherhood, the blurred line between love and hate, and our universal quest for belonging.”

Third time lucky in love for flush plumber?

The wedding bells are ringing for Charlie Mullins, the 69-year-old former rooster-haired boss and founder of Pimlico Plumbers — who gave me the nod that he proposed marrying his singer girlfriend of nearly two years, RaRa.

This will be the third time lucky for Mullins. RaRa, real name Rachel Leavesley, is 38 years his junior and they met on a beach in Marbella, Spain.

Neither seems impressed with the age difference, or his marital history, and say they’ve never been closer since they starred in the BBC1 relationship show Unbreakable.

That was filmed when they were only eight months into their romance, and their joint bungee jump was the highlight of episode one — though the show has its critics to say the least.

Charlie said, ‘I have a lovely partner and she has made my life better and better. She is such a natural, beautiful lady. We found out that we have so much in common on the show.

‘Am I thinking about getting married? Yes of course I do, it’s in my head. What can I tell you? Watch this space – a big surprise is coming.’

The couple live together in a £10 million apartment on the Thames in London. Mullins sold Pimlico Plumbers last year and is now pursuing a career as a media personality, which he thoroughly enjoys.

He tells me, “People now recognize me by my hair and call me Rod (after Rod Stewart), which I don’t mind at all.”

The secret of the ‘barnet’ is a simple session with the blow dryer and ‘some gel or whatever you call it’ and then he says, ‘RaRa messes up my hair.’

Mullins just filmed a pilot for a show called the Naked Millionaire that starts with him, yes naked, in a flat, although he assures me that he wears clothes the rest of the time. The idea is that he has to build a business from scratch. There is also a possible reality TV show featuring him and RaRa.

Pugh’s Dark Secret

Florence Pugh was a big hit at the London Film Festival this week, running red carpets in gorgeous dresses and attending parties. She’s starring in The Wonder, an upcoming movie based on the popular book about a nurse who investigates a child in Ireland who doesn’t seem to eat but miraculously survives.

Pugh said, ‘It’s unbelievably dark and I love making dark movies! I’m really proud of this baby, so I’m happy to be here.”

Was that a little dig at the controversial film Don’t Worry Darling (in which she co-starred with Harry Styles), which she didn’t seem very happy to be plugging in in Venice earlier this year?

The explanation given in Venice was that she was too busy filming Dune: Part 2 to do any more. Oddly enough, Dune: Part 2 is still in production.

Ted draws a line

It was condemned as one of the greatest anti-climaxes in TV history, but Adrian Dunbar has finally stepped forward to defend the moment in the latest series Line Of Duty when DS Ian Buckells was exposed as corrupt cop H.

“Everyone thought it was going to be a big reveal, but it really doesn’t happen that way and we wanted to bring the drama to life,” said Adrian, who plays Chief Inspector Ted Hastings. Rumor has it that Line Of Duty will make a comeback next year, either as a miniseries or as a single feature film.

Roman and Martin Kemp’s brief careers as TV chat show presenters have come to an end – there will be no more episodes of ITV’s Weekend Best.

“We were asked to do more, but couldn’t make the dates work,” explains Roman, who co-hosted Sunday Best with his former pop star father Sunday Best and later Weekend Best. “Too bad, because we really enjoyed doing it.”

The series, which featured games and celebrity interviews, was a family affair. Martin’s daughter Harley Moon wrote the signature tune and both she and her mother Shirlie – once part of the pop duo Pepsi & Shirlie – were guests.

Don’t bother knocking on Jamie Lee Curtis’s door on October 31 – the star of the Halloween horror movies doesn’t do Halloween. Curtis, 63, says: ‘I live in a neighborhood where people don’t pass by and I don’t participate anymore.

“The joke used to be I’m Halloween, so I don’t have to join.”

Curtis, whose latest Halloween movie, Halloween Ends, comes out today, says, “I was an active homemade costume, great decoration, scary lights person for all my kids’ young lives.

“I hope that when I have some grandchildren I’ll revisit my old homemade costume arts. The Halloween holiday has changed my life. The 1978 Halloween movie – all the good things in my life are directly attributable to that movie.
