Glamorous AFL WAG Rebecca Judd is known for her extravagant lifestyle.
But her fans may be surprised to learn that her mother Kerry Brown lives a very different life to her famous Melbourne daughter.
Bec’s 62-year-old New Zealand-born Maori mother moved to Australia with her ex-husband Hugh Twigley in the late 1970s to take advantage of Western Australia’s mining boom.
She works as a FIFO (fly in, fly out) worker at Fortescue’s Cloudbreak mine, located in the Pilbara region of Western Australia.
Kerry regularly shares photos of her life as a dump truck driver in the mines on social media.
“I’m gonna take this bad girl, move some dirt and keep Australia moving,” she wrote in one post.
She also often posts cheerful selfies with her FIFO colleagues, enjoying a drink after a hard day at work.
When Bec spoke about her mother’s profession last year, she showed great interest and praised Kerry’s work.

“Everyone thinks she’s so cool when she drives her huge trucks,” she said Stellar magazine in 2023.
Although it’s a far cry from Bec’s lavish life in Melbourne’s posh Brighton suburb, Kerry often visits the national football coach, her son-in-law Chris Judd and her grandchildren during the holidays, sometimes joining the family on their lavish trips to the snow.
Bec looks exactly like her beautiful mother, who was also blessed with an incredibly youthful appearance and a fantastic figure.
Kerry, who is also mother to Kate Twigley, admitted that staying in touch with her family online and through social media has been helpful.
‘Working in a remote location doesn’t help, so it’s really great to see what she and the kids get up to [on Instagram]“, Kerry told Stellar.
‘We both have little time, and that’s not even counting the time difference. [and it’s even harder]. Social media is truly a blessing.’
Before her FIFO career began, the mother of two worked part-time in television as an assistant director and unit manager.

She decided to take up a new profession after splitting up with Hugh, who also worked in mining, when Bec was just four years old.
“I remember the day that mommy left. I was with daddy and daddy was crying. That’s my earliest memory. Isn’t that crazy?” Bec recalled on The pick-up service at 3:00 PM for 2020.
The former 9News weather presenter previously said her parents’ divorce had a major impact on her life.
Rebecca told Sunday Life magazine in May 2019: ‘Growing up, I hated the fact that my mum and dad weren’t together.
“It seemed like my mom and dad lived with everyone… I saw my dad on the weekends.”
After her parents’ divorce, Rebecca and her sister Kate Twigley went to live with their mother and her new partner.

During the school holidays she visited her father and stepmother, because they lived nearby.
“You know, when you’re a kid, you don’t want to be different? That’s what made me different,” she added.
Today, Rebecca is happily married to retired AFL player Chris Judd, with whom she has four children: Oscar, 12, Billie, nine, and twins Tom and Darcy, seven.
The family lives in a $7.3 million mansion in Brighton, an upmarket suburb in Melbourne’s south-east.
