Rebecca Judd shares angry note from her eight-year-old son’s teacher after he broke his school’s strict phone ban and causes chaos with a bizarre call

Rebecca Judd’s son broke his school’s phone ban this week by using his new Apple Watch to text his mother and joke to emergency services.

The AFL WAG, 41, who shares four children – Oscar, 12, Billie 10, and twins Tom and Darcy, eight – with retired footy player husband Chris Judd, received a stern note from Darcy’s teacher when he used his birthday gift during school hours.

Mobile phones are now effectively banned in public schools across Australia, with secondary schools following the lead of primary schools last October.

The Melbourne businesswoman and TV personality shared several screenshots of the messages she received from Darcy during school hours.

‘I love you, love. Poop poo,” she had texted him.

“Darcy got an Apple Watch for his birthday and today he got an eSIM,” Bec captioned the first screenshot she shared.

“He cracked the ‘school time’ code with ease and texts and calls me all day. Sorry about his teacher.”

The last sentence took on a sarcastic tone when it was paired with a see-no-evil monkey emoji.

In the next screenshot, Darcy had sent her a series of cat GIFs.

“And he discovered GIFs,” Bec said proudly.

‘Do I have to go to cricket practice?’ Darcy texted her in the third screenshot.

“There’s too much gastro going around.”

Then: “Can I have a cookie when I get home?”

In August, Rebecca took to her social media to share how she wrapped her children’s Nintendo Switch console in Glad Wrap after they fell ill with the stomach flu.

‘Who has gastro?’ the mother of four responded. “Stay away from them.”

‘PS Why are you on your Apple Watch during school?’

Her son responded with a GIF of a dancing cartoon chicken.

The AFL WAG wondered why her son had called her ‘mama’ in the Americanized version of mom or mama

“What is my password to call people?” he texted her to ask.

‘What’s my phone number?’

“Mom, can you answer?”

Rebecca circled the Americanized abbreviation for mother in the screenshot and repeated it in her caption with a confused emoji.

The model’s annoyance at her son picking up American slang from friends or TV shows is said to have turned to relief when she received a stern note from his Year 3 teacher.

“Hello Bec,” it began. “Just a quick note to let you know that I have spoken to Darcy and his friend about calling 911,” the teacher wrote in her email.

“Luckily it was 911 and not 000.”

Darcy had called the emergency services number used in the United States and often mentioned on children’s programs, instead of the Australian triple zero.

His teacher didn’t mince words as she signed off her email: “I’m sure he understands the seriousness of this game.”

Rebecca responded with a laughing emoji in her caption as she wrote that she wouldn’t be sending her son to school with his hi-tech watch today.

Prices for an Apple Watch series 10 start from $649 for aluminum models and from $1,199 for titanium.

Darcy and his twin brother celebrated their 8th birthday three weeks ago.

Bec, who lives with her husband and their four children in the affluent suburb of Brighton, is known for speaking out on the issue in Melbourne, and especially in the Bayside area where she lives.

In June, she labeled the city “woke, broke and violent.”

Rebecca has been praised for using her platform – largely on Instagram, where she has 756,000 followers – to highlight the crime problem in her neighborhood.

She has also been criticized for complaining about her luxurious lifestyle and came under fire last week for a ‘cringe’ sponsored car post.

“I don’t know what else makes you cringe. Your self-interest radiates from you,” one irritated follower responded to Rebeccas’ post about her gifted and customized new Land Rover SUV.
