Rebecca Gibney is shocked when the beloved actress shares the confronting image of a black eye after a devastating injury
Rebecca Gibney stunned her fans on Tuesday by sharing a painful-looking photo of the black eye she suffered several years ago.
The Halifax fp star, 58, posted the disturbing photo to Instagram, which shows her bruised right eye and sewn-up eyebrow as she told fans how the injury occurred.
“We went on vacation and we stopped for the night and in the morning I slipped into the shower and hit my eye against the metal door,” she began.
‘Lots of blood, many stitches and years later a scar. Scars are a reminder of things from the past. Often traumatic, but always surmountable.’
She then added the permanent scar left by the injury, as a reminder of the hardships she had successfully overcome.

“We move on, the wound heals, and we are left with a gentle reminder of what we went through. What we have overcome. And eventually they just become part of us.’
Many of Rebecca’s friends and fans were quick to respond to her message.

“You are truly inspiring and have the best outlook on life,” gushed one fan.

In March, Gibney took to social media to share photos of her amazing weight loss transformation.
The Packed to the Rafters star said she lost 7kg in just 28 days after following a program from Melbourne nutritionist Donna Aston.
Rebecca assured her followers that her gushing post wasn’t a paid “plug,” saying the health regimen helped her trim a whopping 9 inches off her waist — and urged fans to try it.
Rebecca lives in New Zealand with her husband of 21 years, Richard Bell and their son Zachary.
