Rebecca Gibney looked glamorous as she celebrated the launch of her new show in Sydney’s Surry Hills on Wednesday, just days after winning the Logies award.

The 59-year-old TV star is back in the seasonal series of the travel show Luxury Escapes: The World’s Best Holidays and celebrated its release at the Golden Age cinema.

Rebecca, who was inducted into the Logies Hall of Fame on Sunday, looked stunning in a two-piece blue silk suit from Australian designer boutique White Story.

Rebecca gave herself a few extra inches in a pair of nude heels and teamed it with a timeless ensemble of pearl earrings.

She accentuated her stunning features with a face of glossy makeup and a touch of purple lipstick, as she pulled out all the stops for the event.

The New Zealand-born actress grinned for the cameras as she posed with her friends and Foxtel co-stars Cameron Daddo and Jane Hall on the red carpet.

The trio have returned as permanent presenters for the second season of The World’s Best Holidays, alongside newcomers Mike Reid, Karen Martini and Gary Mehigan.

The travel show, which returns to screens from August 29, sees well-known Australian names explore some of the world’s most beautiful holiday destinations.

In the first season, Rebecca and Wendy Moore (played by Selling House) experienced the ultimate vacation to Fiji, including dining on a private island, spa treatments and an epic helicopter ride.

Following the season two premiere, Rebecca documented her night out on Instagram, sharing photos and videos from the red carpet event and raving about her outfit.

“Wearing the most divine suit with the equally divine Cameron Daddo,” she captioned a short behind-the-scenes clip she shared to her Stories.

“I can’t rave enough about this suit,” added Rebecca – who is married to designer Richard Bell. “I think I have to marry this suit.”

The price of her stunning ensemble has not been disclosed, but prices for individual pieces from the luxury tailor’s ready-to-wear collections easily run into the hundreds of euros.

She also raved about her co-host, Neighbours star Jane, in another Instagram post, adding: “I love you. Such a fierce and loyal friend, thank you.”

Elsewhere at the red carpet event, Natalie Bassingthwaighte also put on an elegant show, alongside her partner Pip Loth.

Natalie, 48, wore a striking red cocktail dress and black heels for the occasion, while Pip looked stylish in a beige suit.

It was singer Natalie’s second public event with Pip, after they made their red carpet debut as a couple earlier this week at the Sydney premiere of the film Take My Hand.

The glittering event comes just days after Rebecca was inducted into the TV Week Logie Hall of Fame by her 19-year-old son Zac Bell, a milestone.

On Monday, Rebecca expressed her joy at receiving the award, saying she was “completely overwhelmed” and “incredibly humbled” by the honor.

“So last night has to be one of the best! I never thought about being inducted into the Hall of Fame and then not only seeing so many dear friends say so many incredible things followed by my son — for those of you who watched, you saw my reaction,” she posted.

“I’m still completely overwhelmed, still incredibly humbled and very proud of this honor. Thank you to the people who reached out — there were so many and I shed many tears reading the messages.”

Rebecca said as a girl she grew up ‘in a small [New Zealand] city of immense self-confidence’ it ‘meant the world’ to be honoured in Australia.

“For a girl who was born in a small town in New Zealand and had a lot of self-doubt to be honored in this way by a country that I’ve lived in and loved since I was a teenager… it means the world to me,” she continued.

‘Thanks to the Australian public, TV Week and everyone who helped make this dream come true. I am now such a proud Aussie/Kiwi girl and will probably stay off the clouds for a while… although I definitely need a few Panadols this morning.’

During her acceptance speech at Sunday’s ceremony, Rebecca shared how her co-star Maurie Fields gave her advice that has stuck with her for nearly four decades.

“It was on the set of The Flying Doctors that I learned one of the greatest lessons from the late legendary actor Maurie Fields,” she revealed.

‘I asked him one day, “What’s the secret to success in this business?” He said, and I quote, “It’s pretty simple love – just show up on time, know your lines and don’t be an ad**k.” It’s a motto I’ve taken with me to every job since.’

Rebecca is only the fourth woman to be inducted into the TV Week Logie Hall of Fame in 64 years, following Noni Hazlehurst, Kerri-Anne Kennerley and the late Ruth Cracknel.

Rebecca is best known for her role in the Australian instant classic Packed to the Rafters, in which she played the nation’s favourite TV mum, Julie Rafters, in 2008. She has also starred in local classics such as The Flying Doctors, Halifax fp and Stingers.
