She revealed that her actor boyfriend paid as she said, “That was our Valentine’s Day meal last year – was Sonic tater tots.”

On their Sonic date and how it relates to their pet names for each other, Reba explained, Well my nickname is tater tot, and he’s sugar tot, we love Sonic tater tots. They are great. And to go in there and get a #1 cheeseburger with all the trimmings and tater tots, man, that’s one hell of a Valentine’s Day dinner.

‘We thought it was fantastic. We sat there in the car and ate it.’

McEntire admitted that the food-oriented nicknames came with help from her sister Susie.

She said, “When we were in quarantine, I was in Oklahoma, there at home base and had Rex [started] called me tater tot, and Susie said, “Tater tot, why don’t you just call him sugar tot?” and so it hung.

“So we’re the toddlers. Sugar and tater. Pretty crazy, but we love it.’

McEntire and Linn have known each other for over three decades when they met in 1991, but their relationship didn’t take a romantic turn until 2020.

Before getting involved with the CSI: Miami actor, she was married to her first husband, Charlie Battles, from 1976 to 1987.

She married her manager, Narvel Blackstock, in 1989.

McEntire grew close to her second husband’s three children from a previous relationship, and the two welcomed a son named Shelby Steven in 1990.

While the former couple went strong for nearly three decades, they separated in 2015 and finalized their divorce that same year.

She later developed a relationship with Anthony Lasuzzo, though they eventually went their separate ways in 2019.

McEntire and Linn began to grow closer in January 2020 and were in constant contact during the early stages of the COVID-19 pandemic as their love blossomed.
