Reality villain looks unrecognisable several years after appearing on popular cooking show

Can you guess who this washed-up TV star is? Reality villain looks unrecognizable for several years after appearing on a popular cooking show

Former My Kitchen Rules star David Kirk looks totally unrecognizable after making his TV debut nearly 10 years ago.

Kirk, who was dubbed ‘Captain Jack’ on Channel Seven’s cooking show in 2014, looks very different compared to his days of stardom.

Recent photos on his Instagram account show Kirk participating in activities such as skiing and, according to his bio, “doing what I want.”

In one image, Kirk is rocking an overgrown mustache with a V-shaped beard on his chin while wearing a black Lonsdale beanie and black T-shirt.

“Even though I liked people giving me money because my beard made me look homeless, I now enjoy the ‘don’t mess with me’ look lol,” he joked in his caption.

Another picture sees him sporting a much fuller beard as he smiles in a selfie on the ski fields in New Zealand.

In 2017, Kirk decided to completely change his appearance by completely shaving his head and beard.

The ex-reality star appeared on MKR with his partner Corinne Wieland.

The pair were embroiled in a scandal after Wieland’s ex-partner David Wood told them women’s Day in February 2014 that her romance with Kirk began as a “secret affair.”

The scorned lover revealed to the publication that Wieland had begun a relationship with Kirk, “behind his back.”

Kirk and Wieland are still together, she still appears in his Instagram feed in pictures from 2017, while Kirk was recently seen in her Facebook profile picture which she updated in May.

Woman’s Day spoke to Wieland’s ex-partner Wood in February 2014, who claimed the pair started their relationship as an affair behind his back.

The couple’s relationship became a topic of public interest when they admitted on Seven’s Sunrise in 2014 that they were still married to their previous partners

‘I was devastated. I had been to his house for dinner and he to us. And all this happened behind my back.’

The couple’s relationship became a topic of public interest when she admitted to Seven’s sunrise in 2014, that they were still married to their previous partners.

“We got engaged for Christmas…the reason we’re not married is we’re still married to other people,” Kirk said.

The couple married in Queensland in July 2015, in front of just over 100 friends, Woman’s Day reported at the time.

Before saying “yes,” Wieland toasted her soon-to-be husband, “You really are the most frustrating person I’ve ever met. But I love you with all my heart. You are brave, intelligent, funny and kind.’

And Kirk read Wieland her favorite poem, WH Auden’s Funeral Blues, and fondly said, “They said love wouldn’t last forever, but they were wrong. Corinne, your beauty amazes me, your intelligence humbles me, and I promise to take care of you forever.”
