Vinicius Junior has reportedly turned down the chance of a lucrative move to the Saudi Pro League.

According to The Athletic, the winger’s representatives were approached by the delegation of the Public Investment Fund, which operates on behalf of the country’s Ministry of Sports.

PIF wanted to convince Vinicius to become the face of the competition in the run-up to the 2034 World Cup, which will be held in Saudi Arabia.

However, Real Madrid have no intention of selling Vinicius and the player is keen to stay at the club and continue working under Carlo Ancelotti.

Vinicius, whose current contract runs until 2027, includes a €1 billion (£855 million) release clause.
