Jude Bellingham made the announcement on social media after being out for a month due to a leg injury.
According to previous reports, the England international could miss Sunday’s match between Real Madrid and Real Valladolid after picking up an injury in training.
However, the club later confirmed that Bellingham is suffering from plantar fasciitis in his right leg and will be out until the end of September as a result.
A statement from the club said: ‘Following tests carried out today (Friday) on Jude Bellingham by the Real Madrid medical team, the player has been diagnosed with an injury to the plantaris muscle in his right leg. His progress will be monitored.’
The 21-year-old admitted he was frustrated, but stressed he was trying to look at the situation positively.

Bellingham insisted he would support Los Blancos ‘as a fan’ during his time on the treatment table
‘There’s nothing I hate more than missing games, but I’m trying to see the positive side of it and maybe my body is telling me it needs a bit more rest after a busy year.’ He wrote on Instagram.
‘I’m very frustrated but I will continue to support the boys as a fan until I can be back with them in my best and strongest form.
‘Thank you for your messages of concern and support. Lots of love and Hala Madrid!’
Bellingham’s reactions were full of congratulations and messages of support from his Real Madrid teammates.
Arriving at the Marquee Kylian Mbappe wrote: ‘My boy.’ Vinicius Jr added: ‘My brother!! You will come back stronger!!!’
Brahim Diaz wrote ‘Brother’ while Luka Modric sent a raised hand and love heart emojis.
The setback means he will be unavailable for selection when England return to action next month following their dismal Euro 2024 finale with Nations League matches against Ireland and Finland.
