Carlo Ancelotti could be set for a new deal at Real Madrid, with higher-ups at the club in a state of happiness and keen for the Italian to continue his good work at the Bernabeu beyond his current deal.
Ancelotti isn’t even halfway through his current contract, which runs out in 2024, but according to Marca there are moves to tie the 63-year-old to an extended deal with the European champions.
The Italian enjoyed a successful season last year, winning the Supercopa de Espana, the LaLiga title and Madrid’s fourteenth Champions League victory when they beat Liverpool in June.

So far this campaign he’s enjoyed an unbeaten start to the season, with four LaLiga wins out of four and an opening group game victory over Celtic in their Champions League defence.
Ancelotti was seen as a stop-gap appointment when he succeeded Zinedine Zidane in June 2021. Joining after a disappointing spell at Everton, he faced a tough job in stepping into the shoes of one of the most successful managers in Madrid’s history.
However, the four-time Champions League winning manager has overseen a transition that has continued Real’s winning ways and harmonised a dressing room full of big international names.

Sources at the club have credited the current mood by saying it’s one of the best dressing rooms ever seen at club. With Ancelotti able to mitigate the issues surrounding players such as Isco, Eden Hazard and the now departed Gareth Bale and Marcelo.
The former Italian international has also been able to achieve success without bringing in big names. With the club having only recruited David Alaba and Eduardo Camavinga in 2021 and then Aurelian Tchouameni and Antonio Rudiger this summer.
He has also been praised for improving the performances of Viniscus Jr and Rodrygo, while also prolonging the careers of stalwarts Karim Benzema, Luka Modric and Toni Kroos.

Real Madrid president Florentino Perez is delighted with his current manager’s second spell at the club, where he has won four of the five competitions he’s managed the club in – with the latest triumph coming in their Super Cup win earlier this month.
It’s a winning run that has seen Ancelotti notch up a 73% win percentage since taking over a just over a year ago. Almost matching the 75% he achieved during his first stint in Madrid.
The LaLiga leaders are next in action tomorrow afternoon as they look to make it five wins from five at home to Real Mallorca.
