Real Madrid icon Roberto Carlos is reportedly sleeping on the club’s training ground after deciding to divorce his wife of more than 15 years.
Carlos, 51, tied the knot with Mariana Luccon in June 2009, and the couple have two daughters together: Manuela and Mariana.
But they have now gone their separate ways, as reported by Estadio Deportivo.
According to the Spanish newspaper, the divorce settlement is expected to be complicated due to Carlos’ eye-watering fortune, which is estimated at around €160 million (£133 million).
Luccon reportedly continues to live in their main residence, while Carlos’ in-laws are currently staying in his second property, which has led to the former Brazilian full-back temporarily moving to Madrid’s training ground in Valdebebas.
Carlos spent 11 years in Madrid between 1996 and 2007, winning four LaLiga titles and three Champions League trophies during this period.

Widely regarded as one of the best full-backs in football history, he played for the Spanish giants alongside fellow ‘Galacticos’ such as David Beckham, Ronaldo and Luis Figo.
Now he has returned to Madrid, where he remains a club ambassador while he sorts out his personal life.
Carlos – who also won the World Cup with Brazil in 2002 – raised eyebrows ten years ago when he revealed in an interview that he has eleven children by seven different women.
His confession went viral on social media, saying, “Now I live with Manuela and have several nearby. I have 7 in Brazil. I have one in Mexico, I have one in Hungary who lives in Alicante and the others live in Brazil.”
Three of his children come from his relationship with his first wife, Alexandra Pinheiro.
Mail Sport has contacted Carlos’ representatives for comment.
