The son of Real Madrid legend Marcelo has been given a new contract by the Spanish giants.

Enzo Alves, 14, is a promising striker and one of the most popular players in Real’s academy.

He already had a contract until 2026, but Real have decided to extend it until 2027, the maximum allowed limit for underage players.

‘Happy to continue at the best club in the world. Hala Madrid,” Alves wrote in an Instagram post as he posed for photos alongside his father, mother Clarice Alves and brother Liam.

Marcelo, 35, is Real’s most decorated player. The left-back won 25 trophies during his 15 years at the Bernabéu. He now plays for Fluminense at home in Brazil.

Alves is the leading goalscorer for Real’s Cadet B team this season with 17 points, with the team tied on 71 points with rivals Atletico Madrid at the top of the table.

He is also highly regarded by the Spanish youth and is a regular among the under-15s. Alves recently scored in a 3-1 win over Scotland in the Pinatar Super Cup.

Although Marcelo made 58 appearances for Brazil during his illustrious playing career, his son has opted to play for Spain at youth level.

Alves was born in September 2009 when Marcelo had just started his third full season at the Santiago Bernabeu. He would spend a further 13 years at the club before leaving in May 2022.

Alves is also known for being clinical in front of goal and has been pictured undertaking Cristiano Ronaldo’s trademark SIU and sleepovers when scoring goals for the youth team.
