After completing her biochemistry studies at UCL, Jasmine worked as an editor for some time before realizing that her hair had the potential to carve out a successful career for herself.

Along with a stream of positive messages, Jasmine’s inbox is always full of advances from men offering her money to sell her hair or proposing to her.

“I used to get a lot of requests to cut my hair for money,” he said. “I’ve also gotten a lot of DMs from guys who want personal hair videos for a sum of money. Sometimes they ask for hairstyles that turn out to be a fetish of theirs, like bows.

‘A guy made a video of a cartoon character slowly eating my long hair. More recently, I have been receiving many marriage proposals from all kinds of men.

‘Some of them mention their wealth and how they can support me. They live luxurious lives and think they can get any woman they want with their wealth, but it’s always a big no for me.

Jasmine also deals with the negative comments, with some suggesting that she is “selfish” or “narcissistic” for having such long hair.

“Some people refuse to believe that this is my natural hair or even my hair color,” she said. “They say they think my hair is super greasy and gross. They even call me selfish for keeping all this hair when people with cancer need a wig.

“It’s funny that I get accused of being a ‘gross narcissist’ for having long hair,” she added.

“Of my five siblings, I’m the only redhead,” Jasmine said. My parents are Turkish, but I was born and raised in Bristol, England. Growing up, my mother would always braid my hair for school.

“I didn’t like this hairstyle at the time and wanted a ponytail instead, but now I’m grateful that she chose a protective hairstyle. I have been wearing the braid almost every day for the past few years.

“I’ve always liked long hair since I was a little girl,” said Jasmine (pictured). “I always felt sad after getting a haircut, so let me grow out after the last one at the end of 2017.”

“Many people want to know my hair growth secret and I keep telling them it’s a combination of things like following a consistent hair care routine,” she said.

“I use scalp treatment, hair mask, shampoo and conditioner, leave-in conditioner, styling treatment, and hair oil,” she said.

‘Tool-wise, I like to use a microfiber towel, ionic blow dryer, detangling brush, and scalp massager. I like to buy expensive and affordable products like Herbal Essences and Oribe.

“I wash my hair once or twice a week so I don’t run out of shampoo quickly. I also love researching the science behind hair growth so I can give my followers better advice.
