Real Housewives Of Salt Lake City star Meredith Marks is ‘excited’ that Mary Cosby is back for season four: She ‘doesn’t really hold her opinions back’

Meredith Marks is happy to see the old gang get back together.

The 51-year-old Real Housewives Of Salt Lake City star shared with People that she’s “thrilled” about her former costar Mary Cosby returning for the show’s fourth season, which premieres Tuesday night.

Earlier this year, it was announced that Mary would be returning to the show as a “friend” after the third season.

She and Meredith were original cast members, but Cosby left the show shortly after skipping the season two reunion.

Meredith told the publication she appreciates how Mary can ease the sometimes tense situations on set.

Reunited! RHOSLC star Meredith Marks, 51, told People she’s “excited” about former costar Mary Cosby returning for the show’s fourth season, which premieres Tuesday night. “I think she brings a very unusual sense of humor to the show,” Meredith admitted

“I was really excited to have Mary back because I think she brings a really unusual sense of humor to the show,” Meredith admitted.

“I also like that she’s quite direct and doesn’t really hold back her opinion, so I was thrilled to have her back,” she added.

Mary has already shown her ability to make unguarded and even offensive remarks ahead of the season four premiere on Tuesday night.

In a trailer for the new season released in August, Mary took the bait when Heather asked Gay if she thought she looked “inbred,” to which Mary replied, “Yes.”

Interestingly, Mary married her step-grandfather — they are not blood relatives — after her grandmother encouraged her to do so before her death in 1997.

“She’s just funny. She makes me laugh,” Meredith continued about her friend.

While Mary will be back, it won’t be a full reunion of the original cast, as former star Jen Shah won’t be there as she serves a five and a half year prison sentence.

But Meredith said there’s no “heavy void” where Jen once was.

“Of course you’re going to see a shift in the energy, but it’s an ensemble, so there’s a lot of people contributing to it and playing their part in it, so to speak,” she said. “There’s a change, but it’s just different.”

She is back! “I also like that she’s pretty direct and doesn’t really hold back her opinion, so I was thrilled to have her back,” she added, noting Mary’s humor.

Don’t hold back: In a trailer for the new season released in August, Mary took the bait when Heather asked Gay if she thought she looked “inbred,” to which Mary replied, “Yeah.”

The show will now also feature new cast members Monica Garcia and Angie Katsanevas, who had a problem since they were previously boyfriends, as well as returning stars Heather Gay, Lisa Barlow, and Whitney Rose.

Mary reportedly filmed “a few scenes” for the season, Page six reported in February, with the show set to begin shooting on February 13.

One source said that “Mary wanted to come back,” while another explained that Mary’s absence from season three was largely due to her former co-star Jennie Nguyen’s scandalous firing.

Nguyen saw her short stint as a housewife go up in flames when her racist social media posts mocking the Black Lives Matter movement resurfaced online.

The source explained, “Jennie’s racist messages really seemed to shock Mary, especially after Jennie threw a glass at her on camera. Mary was thankful for the time away from the cameras, but she seems ready to get back into the mix.”

‘Here I am!’ Mary said as she walked into Meredith’s jewelry store during the beginning of the season four trailer.

Then, during her confession, she says to the camera, “Someone, save me quick!”

After starring in the first two seasons of RHOSLC, the “philanthropist and spiritual leader” — according to her Instagram bio — left the series under a cloud of controversy.

All-in: In addition to sharing her thoughts on Mary’s return, Meredith also expressed her opinion on season four, saying she had “mixed emotions” about the outcome, though she said fans would see her “involvement”

In addition to sharing her thoughts on Mary’s return, Meredith also expressed an opinion on season four, saying she had “mixed emotions” about the outcome.

“You’re optimistic that it’s all going to be great, but you’re also realistic knowing that’s pretty much impossible,” she said, adding that season four was a “wild ride” with an “incredible outcome.”

While she suggested she managed to keep her cool throughout the season, Meredith also said that fans occasionally get to see her during the drama.

“So much was thrown at me that you will definitely see me participate,” she stated.
