Real Housewives Of Potomac alum Monique Samuels is filing for divorce from husband Chris Samuels
After battling divided rumors last year, Monique Samuels has officially filed for divorce from her NFL star husband of over 10 years, Chris Samuels.
People have confirmed in Montgomery County Family Court that Monique, 39, has filed documents to end her marriage to Chris, 45. They share three children together, daughter Milani, eight, and sons Christopher, nine, and Chase, four.
Monique tries to get the documents sealed. However, the role has shed some light on the divorce.
People reports that she filed for an absolute divorce on April 14, 2023, according to the scroll. On June 15, she reportedly filed an amended complaint for an absolute divorce.
Page six reports that the duo has a hearing on Wednesday. If all goes well, their split will be finalized, a court spokesman told the outlet.

Monique and Chris have been plagued by divisive rumors lately, but last year the duo showed unity after People reported they split.
The former Bravo star flashed her wedding band while standing next to her NFL star husband in an Instagram story posted in October.
She also insisted they weren’t going their separate ways on her YouTube channel, Tea With Moniqueafter the release of the article.
“It’s no secret that Chris and I have struggled in some areas of our marriage and anyone who watched Love & Marriage: DC last year, you guys saw the arguments, you guys saw everything that was going on,” she explained.
Monique added what viewers saw as the culmination of all their troubles, calling it her “cry for help.”
“It was a lot of confusion, it was crazy building up to that 10-year marker of our marriage and when you’ve been married that long and when you have things where you think, ‘Listen, this is unfulfilled or I’m unheard of “You start getting frustrated and it’s like, ‘Oh my God, is this what life’s going to be like? I can’t take it anymore,'” she said. “So what you guys saw on Love & Marriage: DC last season was my cry for help.”
‘Are Chris and I getting divorced? No! We are not getting a divorce,” she said. ‘Are we going our separate ways? Absolutely not, nobody said that. Have we filed for legal separation? No. Have we filed for divorce? No. Is there any document proving divorce filing? No. Did we break up so much that we broke up? No.’
Monique said she and Chris also received individual counseling to “address their personal issues” and “focus on ourselves.”
Split Speculation: Monique and Chris have been plagued with divorce rumors lately
The couple has been remarkably private about their relationship on Instagram since last year.
The last time Monique posted a photo of her husband to her Instagram grid was in December 2022.
Chris hadn’t posted from Monique on his own schedule since December 2021, when he shared a post to mark their 9th wedding anniversary.
The pair have been through relationship struggles over the years and documented some of their struggles on the first season of Love & Marriage: DC.
In July, Monique insisted Entertainment tonight that her marriage wouldn’t succumb to the reality TV curse.
She stated, “People always say that reality TV is destroying your marriage. What people don’t realize is that Real Housewives of Potomac saved my marriage in some ways.
“Chris and I, before we started filming that show, we were in a difficult position.

“We had lost all dating in our marriage. When we started filming reality TV, it actually helped us because it forced us to date.”
She added, “So we were able to get out, just rekindle that intimacy and be excited about each other.” So I won’t lie; Season 2 of RHOP saved my marriage.
‘And at the end of the day you sometimes have to come back to those moments. Because some of the things I expressed on Love & Marriage: DC, people watching Potomac saw that I had the same concerns at the time.
“So it’s not like this is anything new.”
Monique quit Real Housewives of Potomac in December 2021, stating she was “over” reality TV, before signing on to another show.

She said at the time, “It was a crazy ride. It’s not easy doing reality TV, and to be honest, I’m over it. I appreciate everything people have done for me, everyone who has been Team Monique – I love you all – but once you cross certain boundaries there is no turning back. And for me, my family is that line.”
She added, “The opinion of my family and my kids and what they think about everything I do is more valuable than anyone’s opinion, so I’m over it.”
Chris is a well-known former NFL offensive tackle who played his entire pro career for the Washington Redskins before retiring in 2010.
He came from the University of Alabama and was considered the best forward in the 2000 NFL Draft and was drafted third by the Washington Redskins.
