Read the leaked letter from Channel Nine warning disgruntled residents about potential ‘disruptions’ in the Melbourne street where The Block finale is being filmed

A letter detailing The Block’s final day of filming for 2023 has been leaked online.

The letter was sent to residents of Melbourne’s Charming St, Hampton East, where the current season is filmed, and was shared on a Facebook group for fans of the show.

It states that the last day of recording will take place on Saturday, November 4, and that large trucks and drone-controlled cameras may cause disruptions in the street that day.

Nine emphasize in the letter that they will do everything possible to minimize any potential issues that may arise, before thanking locals for their cooperation during filming.

“Thank you for having us on your street and for your patience during production,” they write.

But fans of the show on Facebook took to the post to complain in the comments section about the direction the series has taken this year.

In the comments of the post, many disagreed with the “nonsense” 2023 season and urged the show to “go back to its roots.”

“Not a great season,” one fan wrote. “I look at it for the renovations, not for the bickering, but the renovation projects are becoming so high-end that they are beyond the reach of normal renovation companies.”

‘Stop watching The Block. Just terrible. Life is hard enough without endless misery and hate,” wrote another member of the group.

‘Het Blok must go back to its roots… it was nonsense this year. Bring back Jamie Durie…and rid Shelly Craft of whatever she’s doing,” another Facebook commenter advised.

While another commenter agreed that the team needed a revamp: “Jamie should host the show for a season.”

‘Worst block season ever this year. More arguing than building and more tradies doing all the work. I’m sure all the teams just shopped and painted when they weren’t fighting with each other,” another fan wrote.

It comes as The Block style master Shayna Blaze broke her silence on this season’s “toxic behavior” earlier this month.

The serial judge, 60, told it Yahoo lifestyle that the judges make it a point to focus only on the quality of the contestants’ homes and not get involved in their personal drama.

‘We know nothing about what is happening, we do not meet the participants. We are not told anything, so we can purely judge the rooms and not the drama,” she said.

She said at the time that she wasn’t surprised that the contestants often brought their personal lives into the show.

‘They are in a bubble and there is so much drama during construction. It carries over into their personal lives,” she said.

‘Maybe the stress is too great and people are just doing all the wrong things. But I’m quite shocked by what’s coming out,” she said.

Her comments come amid reports that Channel Nine’s popular renovation show has come under fire over persistent ‘bullying’ claims, with dozens of viewers voicing their concerns.

Now women’s Day has claimed that some believe the show has ‘run its course’ after it was criticized with ACMA complaints.

The furor could spell the end of the show, with viewers dropping out en masse and investigations being launched.

The Australian Communications and Media Authority (ACMA) has been inundated with complaints about the current season of The Block and in just one week, ACMA has recorded a total of 28 complaints.

This is what an ACMA spokesperson said The Australian: ‘The majority of investigations involved allegations of bullying, intimidation and the promotion of anti-social behavior between participants.’

This comes in the wake of many articles and discussions about the increased drama between contestants during this season.
