Read the blistering spray footy star Mitchell Moses gave to his own teammates after another awful loss – as its ‘hidden meaning is revealed’
- Mitch Moses’ locker room tirade leaks to media
- Moses is believed to have targeted Eels officials
- Parramatta are currently bottom of the NRL ladder
Some details of the spray Mitchell Moses gave to his Parramatta teammates after their heartbreaking loss to Newcastle have emerged, including the covert reference he made to the team’s top brass.
Despite a thrilling comeback, the Eels were defeated 34-26 by the Knights on Saturday night and remain bottom of the NRL standings.
After the match, an agitated Moses launched into a tirade of abuse in the sheds, which the Eels would probably have preferred to keep secret.
As reported by the Sydney Morning Heraldsaid the superstar halfback: ‘Nobody outside this room is going to help us out of here, so we’re going to have to do it ourselves.’
It is believed Moses’ “outside this room” comment was aimed at the club’s powers that be, as the Eels’ powers that be have come under fire over the club’s poor form and the mid-season sacking of coach Brad Arthur, whose replacement has yet to be named.
The halfback did not want to speak to the publication, but did send a short text message telling his story.
“As you can imagine, it’s been a frustrating season,” Moses wrote in the caption.
‘We just lost another game and I had a private conversation in the locker room right after the game, nothing more.

The superstar halfback is believed to have made an attack on the club’s management with his comments
‘We all do our best and we all just want to win football games.’
Several Eels officials heard the tirade, including general manager of football Mark O’Neill, who was present himself.
Board Chairman Jim Sarantinos said he had no problem with Moses’ outburst.
“Mitch’s comments were understandable in the dressing room straight after a tense game,” he told the Herald.
‘Simply put, he was expressing his emotions after a loss where he and the team had worked themselves to the bone and not achieved the result they and the club had hoped for.’
Meanwhile, Parramatta interim coach Trent Barrett has called on club officials to make a decision as soon as possible on who will officially replace Brad Arthur.

Barrett said making everything “public” could also be crucial to ensuring NSW State of Origin winger Zac Lomax does not reverse his decision to play for the club next year.
Parramatta’s board met on Tuesday night and a decision was expected to be made on whether Barrett, Jason Ryles, Josh Hannay or Dean Young would take over as manager for 2025.
It is understood the board will not make any public announcements until after Thursday’s match against South Sydney, and for Barrett, that can’t come soon enough.
