Per one Press release from Amazon StudiosSopis plays O’Donnell, who served with Reacher in the 110th, the Army’s special investigators unit, and is like a brother to Reacher. The trailer’s release date and press notes also describe him as a “fast-talking, switchblade-wielding family man,” so expect him to provide plenty of comic relief and knife skills soon. Meanwhile, Swan’s Dixon is a “forensic accountant for whom Reacher has long had a soft spot.” Did we just get confirmation of Reacher’s romantic flirtation for this season? Possibly.
Elsewhere, Bilyk’s Franz, McKenzie’s Lowery, Morales’ Orozco, Collantes’ Sanchez and Koon-Chuk’s Swan are all part of the 110th task force. Blacker’s Fields was also the lieutenant who oversaw the elite special forces.

Reacher season 2 plot
Here’s the official Reacher season 2 story synopsis, courtesy of Amazon Studios: “Reacher Season 2 begins when veteran military police investigator Jack Reacher (Ritchson) receives a coded message that the members of his former U.S. Army unit, the 110th MP Special Investigations, are being mysteriously and brutally murdered one by one.
“Reacher, withdrawn from his roving lifestyle, reunites with three of his former teammates who have become a chosen family to investigate, including Frances Neagley (Sten); Karla Dixon (Swan) and David O’Donnell (Sipos). Starting Together They connect the dots in a mystery that raises the stakes every time, raising questions about who betrayed them β and who will die next.
With his inimitable blend of smarts and size, Reacher will do whatever it takes to uncover the truth and protect the members of his unit. If there’s one thing Reacher and his team know for sure, it’s that you don’t mess with the special investigators. This season, get ready for Reacher and the 110th to hit back hard.”

That’s enough to go on for now, but we can still glean more details about the show’s second season. First, it is based on Lee Child’s eleventh book Jack Reacher book series ‘Bad Luck and Trouble’, released in 2007.
According to the novel’s synopsis, the action begins when a small, anonymous deposit is made into Reacher’s bank account, which “awakens his fixation with mathematics and his investigative instincts.” Using his powers of deduction, he figures out that this is a signal that only one of the eight former members of his elite team of Army researchers would use, leading Reacher to reunite with Neagley when some of the duo’s former teammates are repelled.
That’s about all we know without digging too deep into ‘Bad Luck and Trouble’ β and honestly, we’re okay with that. Part of ReacherThe game’s appeal lies in the way it slowly unfolds the mysteries so that the audience doesn’t want to look for more answers as this will spoil Season 2’s biggest surprises.
Will Reacher get a third season on Prime Video?
Amazon has not renewed Reacher already for a third season. But considering how incredibly popular and successful the first season was, we’d be surprised if another season doesn’t get the green light – especially if season 2 also exceeds expectations.
For his part, Ritchson is more than happy to continue. βI love that Reacher (he’s always one step ahead of everyone),β he said Square mile. “He is calculating. This possibility contributes to this possibility. Moreover, he is not always right – there are times when he makes a wrong assumption. I like the fallibility – when I play a game of chess with someone, I go don’t win ’em all.”
Just like Reacher itself, the series has big legs to run on for a long time. Lee Child told it RadioTimes.com that it could potentially last 26 seasons β and he may not be kidding. βBy October there will be 27 books, so there are still 26 seasons to go, by which time I will be about 100,β he said. “And that would work for me. But like everything in showbiz, everyone knows this: It’s not me. It’s none of us. It’s up to the viewer. Will they like it? And I think yes, they are.
“Nothing is ever certain, but they’ll love it, I think, and if you’ve got a show that people love, why not do a second season? Why not a third? Then why not a 27th? By then I’ll have written some more. It could go on forever, literally until the heat death of the universe.”
We’d love that, Lee, and we’re sure there will be many more Reacher on the road as long as the audience continues to listen.
