Liverpool maintained their unbeaten start to the Champions League season after a 1-0 win over RB Leipzig on Wednesday evening.
The Reds took all three points from the Red Bull Arena thanks to a first-half goal from Darwin Nunez, who poked home from close range after Mohamed Salah’s header.
Arne Slot’s side were tested late as Leipzig pushed for an equalizer, but the Reds remained determined to secure an important win.
This means they rise to the top of the Champions League together with Aston Villa, while they continue to impress under the Dutch coach.

Struggled to dominate the midfield battle but was still able to stifle Leipzig’s advance when necessary.

He looked a little off the pace as he continues his comeback from injury. Wrongly booked for diving in the first half.

He failed to leave a mark on his return to Leipzig. Some nice moments in the first half, but they faded as the match progressed.
Mohamed Salah-5
A very quiet night by the high standards of the Egyptian. Saw Nunez score his goal on the line before getting hooked on Diaz.
Darwin Nunez – 7.5
A reminder of what he can bring to this team. A handful all night and his goal will be a much-needed confidence boost.
