Rachael Gunn has criticised the decision to remove breakdancing from the Olympic Games.

Gunn, who goes by her stage name Raygun, went viral after her performance at the first women’s event in Paris last weekend, where she received three consecutive zero points from the judges.

The university lecturer was mercilessly mocked for her ’embarrassing’ performance on her Olympic debut, with her mental health being monitored amid the online onslaught.

Raygun also received public support after her performance, during which she hopped around like a kangaroo and silenced her rivals. Prime Minister Anthony Albanese praised her for her efforts during the event.

However, sports fans will not see Raygun at the Olympics again, as he has been removed from the program for the 2028 Olympic Games in Los Angeles.

The decision was made before the Paris Olympics and Gunn was among those who criticized the decision.

β€œIt was disappointing that it was decided that the film wouldn’t screen in LA, especially before we could even screen it,” she said earlier this month.

“That might have been a bit premature. I wonder if they’re kicking themselves now?”

Gunn also took aim at the more established Olympic sports and championed breaking.

She added: ‘What is an Olympic sport? What are the similarities between dressage and artistic swimming and the 100m sprint and the pentathlon?

‘Breaking is obviously athletic, it’s obviously a whole level of dedication on a number of different levels. It really brings a new level of excitement.’

Raygun has dominated the conversation since her infamous Paris performances, which saw music star Adele interrupt her Munich concert to discuss the Australian woman’s routine.

“I’m not saying anything, but I think this is the best thing the Olympics have ever seen,” Adele told her fans.

‘Has anyone seen the breakdancing lady?

‘I didn’t even know breakdancing was an Olympic sport now. That’s f***ing amazing. Really.

‘Aaron, my percussionist, pees his pants laughing just thinking about it.’

Adele then went on to say that she is not sure if Raygun is a serious contender for the competition, with many fans comparing her moves to Mr Gee from the Australian comedy Summer Heights High.

‘I’m not sure if it was a joke, but it made me really happy and my friends and I laughed our heads off for almost 24 hours.’

“I just wanted to know if you saw it. If you didn’t, leave the show and google it because it’s LOLZ.

β€œIt’s so f***ing funny and it’s my favorite event of the Olympics so far.”
