Arsenal legend Ray Parlor believes Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is better off picking up sticks and joining MLS, rather than waiting for a Premier League offer in the summer.
Aubameyang started the season at Barcelona, before moving to Chelsea in the summer. However, he has fallen out of favor with Graham Potter, being omitted from the goalless draw against Fulham, and left out of their Champions League side.
The former Arsenal striker is believed to be exploring options that would see him leave Stamford Bridge, and one of them would be the USA, with MLS not restricted by Aubameyang’s two previous teams this season as his campaign kicks off in February. .
Mailsport previously reported that Chelsea are in talks with LAFC over a possible move for the 33-year-old, with the California outfit set to agree a short-term loan until the end of the English season.
Aubameyang could try to get into Chelsea’s domestic plans, with 18 months remaining on his contract with the Blues. Otherwise, he could try to secure a summer move to another European club.

However, the 49-year-old Parlor believes the Gabonese striker should seize the opportunity presented to him in North America and move abroad to reinvigorate his career.
Parlor told talkSPORT: ‘It’s remarkable what happened, it seems like he has no confidence at all.
‘[MLS] Could probably use it – a bit of razzmatazz, every US fan will like something different and he can certainly score MLS goals all day long.
“Chelsea, it hasn’t worked out, Graham Potter probably knows he’s not part of the club’s future, with the signings they’ve bought as well, he’s not going to get a game, so I can certainly see that deal.”
“It all depends on Aubameyang, if he doesn’t want to go and is happy where he is, he won’t go, he just has to keep going until the end of the season.”
Los Angeles FC recently lost their player Gareth Bale to retirement, and Aubameyang would be a possible replacement for them as they look to realign for the 2023 season, which will run until the end of October, before the start of the playoffs.
It could be a wise permanent option for the 33-year-old as the 49-year-old Parlor is not confident that other European teams will pick Aubameyang in the summer.
“He’s not going to get anywhere else in the Premier League,” Parlor said.

Meanwhile, Chelsea travel to West Ham on Saturday afternoon, hoping to reverse a slump at home that has seen them score just seven goals in 12 league games.
Speaking ahead of the London derby, Potter told reporters there was “nothing to report” about Aubameyang’s possible transatlantic move.
The coach said: ‘He has been training with us, he behaved well.’
