Meet the new Fiat Panda – a flexible family model with five variants: city car, SUV, sporty fastback, pick-up and even a camper.

Larger than the current Panda (first launched in 1980 and now in its third generation) and described as a ‘Mega-Panda’.

Fiat said the design and interior of the dashboard were inspired by the iconic Lingotto building in Turin, with its famous oval test track on the roof – once Fiat’s headquarters with a chase scene for the classic 1969 The Italian Job film, starring Michael Caine and Noel Coward. .

The Audi A3 range is getting a refresh

Audi’s popular premium A3 range – first launched in 1996 – has been updated with a sportier appearance, a technology boost and more comfortable interior trim.

It is one of nine new Audis that will appear on the market over the next two years.

Renewal: Available as a hatchback, sportback and sedan. Two A3 engine options will be available from launch

From launch, two A3 engine options will be available in hatchback, sportback and sedan: a 148bhp 1.5-litre TFSI petrol and 148bhp 2.0-litre TDI diesel, both with a seven-speed automatic transmission, and a six-speed manual transmission as petrol option.

A plug-in hybrid will be added at the end of this year and a sporty S3 is expected.

A3 orders will begin in mid-April, and the range is expected to start from around £30,000.
