Furious Ray Hadley goes ballistic at Sonny Bill Williams for footy star’s shocking act after bishop was stabbed in Sydney terror attack

Radio presenter Ray Hadley has hit Sonny Bill Williams with a blistering spray after the ex-footy star shared a message from rape-accused social media influencer Andrew Tate in the wake of the stabbing death of a bishop in Sydney on Monday night.

Bishop Mar Mari Emmanuel was preaching at Christ The Good Shepherd Church in Wakeley, western Sydney, just after 7pm on Monday when a 16-year-old boy dressed in black walked up to the altar and allegedly stabbed him several times.

Footage of the attack quickly circulated on social media, with Williams, 38, sharing it from Tate’s X account, while the influencer linked the stabbing to comments Bishop Emmanuel had allegedly made about the war between Israel and Gaza.

Hadley opened up about the former NRL and All Blacks star turned Channel Nine footy commentator on Wednesday morning, saying he has ‘a brain the size of a cumquat’ and lashed out at his stupidity for sharing the post .

“I don’t know how this guy stayed employed at the network I work for,” Hadley began.

“This is his lack of knowledge of world affairs, let alone what is happening in western Sydney.”

Hadley then read from the Daily Mail Australia story before telling his listeners: “If you don’t know Andrew Tate, apparently he’s a hero to a lot of young men, he’s a misogynist, he lives somewhere in Romania and can’t leave.

‘He is in Romania with his brother who is on trial for rape, human trafficking and forming an organized crime group to sexually exploit women.

“He’s the kind of guy you want to retweet.

“So this guy Tate, from Romania, far away from Wakeley, sees the footage and then posts something, which was retweeted by Sonny Bill Williams.

‘His original post on Twitter linked the stabbing to comments Bishop Emmanuel allegedly made about the war between Israel and Gaza – which he [Emmanuel] has, as far as I know, made no statements [about].

‘He has certainly criticized some Muslims as he is a Christian cleric.

“So even though the stabbing has been declared an act of terror by NSW Police, Tate – who is facing charges I just told you about human trafficking, rape and forming an organized group that sexually exploits women – is the kind of guy who you’d like to be connected there, Sonny Bill – he captioned the video of the attack, and this is what he said.

‘First of all, the bishop is a Christian bishop who has a problem with part of the Islamic faith. But this imbecile in Romania said, “Anti-Zionist preacher ‘stop killing little Muslim girls’ stabbed in Sydney, Australia.”

“Sonny Bill, with a brain the size of a cumquat, reposted a message saying “praying for his full recovery,” alongside an open palm emoji.

“So he thinks Tate is right when he describes the bishop as an anti-Zionist. . . . Be clever, Sonny Bill, when you have someone pick up the newspaper and read it to you.”

This isn’t the first time Hadley has shot Williams.

In October last year, he branded the devout Muslim a “madman” for supporting Hamas’s attack on Israel.

“Like I said, if brains were dynamite, Sonny Bill Williams wouldn’t be blowing his ears off,” the 2GB star said.

“It’s embarrassing to me and other people associated with this radio and TV network he works for – and I think the company’s CEO should reconsider his employment prospects.”
